My first reaction to the question, what's wrong with the dog, was that the dog is still alive. Pets don't want to stay alive in Minecraft. My cats keep on drowning themselves for example or put themselves between me and an enemy to get hit by my sword. In the past, my dogs kept on walking into fire or even lava, if they didn't off themselves with fall damage first. Minecraft's mob AI is... special.

more than you'd think. the pet spawns there, hundreds of blocks away from your house, at the exact right spot so that by the time you arrive there on your adventure, your inventory gets full, and you throw out the bone, or fish, or whatever you tame them with because it's taking up space. then (after you either spend more days getting what you need, or going back and returning later), they follow you home - not too easily, getting stuck at least two or three times, but not too slowly either, so you don't get bored and leave them. after that, they wait; you will get used to them. you will not be as careful about them. you will get attached to them. and then they'll strike: walk in front of you when you try to kill mobs, teleport after you at the exact wrong spot, or walk in the exact block in your house where they shouldn't. and then you will mourn, and you will swear to be more careful, and you will fall victim to the same pattern of actions fuelled by malicious intent again. this is the wicked behaviour of minecraft's pets, thank you for listening to my TED talk

I thought for sure he’d mention that since he tried to rebuild the scene. This and the single log block up closer to the “camera”. Last I checked, stumps of trees don’t exist in MC (except for in Bedrock, but even still, I don’t think mangroves have them). Edit: I guess it could’ve been cut down by a character in the picture, but since the log is directly on the ground, it’s still not a normal mangrove since those have the logs off the ground supported by roots.

Actually, you may be wrong! There is a plausible explanation for the hole: The block the dog's front legs are on could be at the same level as the empty hole next to the water, and the sand block behind Alex giving the perspective of it being one layer "above" the continued layer may simply be raised up as the start of the ground elevation to support her. Why does the sand block's corner align so well with the one behind it, where the dog's front legs are on? The same reason the dog's body is so monstrous, messed up perspective. Why this and not the other? Because when considering the design intent, Occam's Razor is our friend in deducing that the smallest issue with perspective is more likely to be unintentionally wrong than the other, when it allows the rest to make more sense. EDIT: This is further supported by the fact the sand block the shorter cactus is placed on, next to the hole on the sand, seems to overtake the water line where it dips, another point to the view of that layer's level being above the water. EDIT 2: If you're gonna use the water starting to waterfall to justify that partial parallel superposition of the block on it, beyond the fact it would not look like that, notice how the water's dipping from it's flat level starts one block further as indicated by following its dipping line and then aligning the rest of the blocks in X and Y.

God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc. Have a blessed day!
