I think that's a hawthorn tree. And yes, as a native Pennsylvanian, the roads are not great. Worse, though, are West Virginia's roads... they hardly ever use guardrails!

I have a friend from West VA. and made mention of that fact when I visited there. He said that's what the trees are for. You may go off the road but you won't fall far. That did not calm me much. LOL.

It is so nice when you Mom is along. She hs such an adventuresome spirit and a beautiful smile. Was that her sis with y'all at that last spring, taking a drink and toasting to good health? They look like sisters for sure. Thanks for sharing this lovely State Park. Have a Blessed day.

Sweet Daniel! What a cutie!! ❤ Charity looks just like you, Janelle! I watched her freezer meals video. My grandsons play disc golf! One of my grandsons has about 150 discs!! ❤ hugs from Michigan!

We took a lot of trips with our 9 kiddos! We lived away from family so we would travel from Minnesota to Michigan and Maryland. We traveled to South Dakota and Wyoming for a family wedding and church mission services. My husband would take our kids on spring break trips. ❤ Those were nice days!! ❤

I loved going to Lancaster but the traffic in to NJ and PA was awful! I just kept praying!

Thanks for sharing the footage that you were able to get. I'm glad y'all were able to take a vacation. I bet your kids loved it. That will be a great memory for them. I enjoyed seeing the spring water park, too. It was so beautiful! It's always so nice to see your mom. Glad she is doing well. I think that her cousin looks a little like her. I bet they enjoyed their time together.

The trees with the thorns could possibly be locust trees. We have them in Missouri, too, and the thorns are simply wicked!

Yes Pennsylvania Roads are not the best. I was up by Steamtown last year. Did you guys go on any of the coal mine tours?

Unfortunately, we were on a very tight scheduled with our checkin time with the conference center we were staying in so we weren’t able to explore nearly as much as we would have liked to.
