I’m Pasindu, a BFA student currently working on my senior project, which explores themes of identity through art and sound. I’m truly inspired by your work, and I’m reaching out with a question that I hope you might be able to help with. My project, titled Silent Threads Unwoven, involves sequencing my own DNA and transforming it into a musical composition that plays as viewers experience the installation. The goal is to create an immersive reflection on identity by blending biological and cultural elements, allowing audiences to "hear" a piece of human essence. I was wondering if you’ve ever created or come across a universal DNA-to-music code or something similar for human DNA? I'd be deeply grateful if you could share any resources or insights, or if it would be possible to incorporate elements of your work with credit, of course. Your approach to sound and representation aligns so closely with the themes I’m aiming to convey, and I believe it would add a powerful dimension to my project. Thank you so much for considering this.
