I had the 1972 and a 1973 Kawasaki 350 triples. The 1972 was faster, but it only had four main bearings, the primary drive side of the crank would flex burning the thrust washers on the rod… i’ve seen rods completely turning, purple, and blue from being squeezed due to the flex ..this was corrected the following year by installing six main bearing cranks in the Kawasaki 350 triple.. these were great bikes that handeled just as well as the RD 350s at the racetrack, I raced both, but the 350 Kawasaki triples did not survive crashes .. The engine was a bit wide..the RDs engines survived tossing them down the track repeatedly..mine was..

Top marks for not calling it a Boyer Branston {pickle} ignition kit ! I had a KH500 {the slow one}, ported to within an inch of its life, which used to eat clutches, in spite of springs and extra washers that gave me a left hand grip like Garth, but it was immense fun until I had to buy new plates again. Best regards from Burry Port, 15 miles west of Swansea, and have a good 2024.

I had a ‘72 S2 on a K reg. Didn’t think the S2A came out until 1973.

I always thought mach 3's were the 500's, and mach 4's the 750, so this would make this a mach 2 350cc
