Hibi Eden is an Indian politician from Ernakulam, Kerala and member of the Indian National Congress. Hibi is the son of the late George Eden, a longtime member of Parliament from the Ernakulam constituency. Hibi Eden was elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Kerala from Ernakulam District in 2011. Hibi was also the president of the NSUI, the National students wing of The Indian National Congress. He was the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Kerala from Ernakulam constituency winning the 2011 Kerala Assembly elections. In 2016 assembly elections, He got elected for the second time as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Kerala from Ernakulam constituency winning. In 2019 Lok Sabha election he contested from Ernakulam and won the seat.
Hibi Eden is married to Anna Linda, a lawyer by profession and a former television presenter. The couple has a daughter Clara Eden.
In this two-part conversation we cover Hibi`s personal and political journey starting from his childhood to his college days and then to the present tenure as an M.P. from Ernakulam. We try to understand what drives a politician of today and what are his influences. What inspires and motivates him to go on amidst the controversies and the difficulties. We also touch upon the Capital Relocation controversy that surrounded the private members bill that was submitted by Hibi in Parliament.
We also talk about his personal story of loss and grief. Hibi lost his mother very early on in life and later lost his dad at 19. He talks about how his early years and later his wife Anna Eden influences him in his day-to-day life. He shares the importance of mental health awareness in our society. In the free flowing conversation of two parts there are lots of interesting insights.

Very interesting. Great to listen to a politician as it helps us understand how they think and the difficulties they face. I am not a supporter of any particular party, definitely against BJP though, and would love to see what Hibi Eden can do for Kerala and India. Hope he can contribute much and bring lasting changes. Wish him well. I agree that youngsters with good moral values must come forward and enter politics to guide the nation into a better future. I too, used to think it was better to stay away from politics due to the corruption and violence.

😂 I am wondering what his parents were thinking when they named him hibi. WiFi would have been a better name . Jokes apart, this chap is basically a dynast who has the gall to explain that in developed countries , they measure the happiness of the individual and not infrastructure. Obviously the dynast is living in his own parallel reality and it doesn't matter to him that India is neither developed nor has decent infrastructure. Common sense suggests that you need to transform india into a developed country first and then measure happiness. Listening to him, it's not difficult to figure out why his Congress party kep India third world and starved of infrastructure in 60 + yrs rule. Basically this guy is woke central.
