I like that rotary organ sound with the tube amp slight distortion added. I’m getting that with my Fr1b played through a voodoo labs sparkle drive. Using it in deep purple’s Child in Time and Boston’s Foreplay/Long Time. I really like the look of that Evo.

Awesome UPG's and very smooth playing technique a joy to listen to. Did you ever write down that Zydecko Cajun piece ? it's very catchy.

Hi, I’ve just discovered your videos, fantastic playing. I play a Roland FR4X in a Scottish Dance Band. Your performance tips and musical knowledge is amazing, you have a new fan from Scotland. If you ever make programs for the 4x , I would definitely be buying.

Hi Mike, I was always wondering do you get louder sound with MIDI when you stronger contract/expand bellows or how do you control volume?
@MrK5man7 ай бұрын
The accordion sounds good, but the technique is GREAT ❤

Interesting observation at 10:10 on loudness & perception of frequencies (notes close and notes far apart). I guess I knew this instinctively but never thought through the reason. Thank you. Also wondering if these sounds, or a similar set, are available for a MIDI-driven VST software sample player.
@MichaelBridge3 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, many thanks! If I understand you correctly, you're looking to get the actual sound patches that are installed in the accordion? I am not aware of that having ever been available, but they are Roland sounds. Most of their keyboards would be similar (maybe better) and perhaps they sell some of their instrument patches as software only. (I think you understand that my work was in combining / altering the native sounds that exist in the accordion, not literally making sounds.)
Sorry Heinrich, I hope that you found my new site: www.michaelbridge.ca (the old one should re-direct there, but there were some bugs initially).

Hello. I don't speak English; just one question, are the sounds from the accordion or are they midi? Greetings.
@MichaelBridge2 жыл бұрын
Hello, all the sound are from the accordion. You do not need any extra equipment or midi connection.

Good UPGs. I have a 8x Dallape w piano keyboard. I create my own UPGs but I like some of your combos. Hope you are getting some gigs. Covid really is rough for gigging musicians ;-( Does EVO have chord arpeggios like newer firmware updates for 8X? I use those a lot.
@MichaelBridge3 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, many thanks! Yes, it's been an interesting time but I'll be back on tour all over the USA January-May 2022. Yes, the Evo has a lot of modes to automatically arpeggiate the left hand chords. I like those too, and used that in some of my programming.

Just wondering if you bought that accordion back when you were doing the concert in Leavenworth, Washington? If so, that gives me a time frame of how long I've been playing my Roland FR-7B. 😁

Hi, Sir...on your "concert in care" you have played J.S.Bach's Gigue No.5 which btw is awesom and I wonder if you've used FREEBASS ??? Don't know, where to get a MANUAL for FREEBASS...THX in advance for any answer...Best regards...

Yes, that's all done on Free-Bass. :-)

@@MichaelBridge Thank you so much...BTW FREEBASS means CONVERTERBASS (swedish???), right ??? As a late beginner I have to ask some stupid questions, I know...sorry
@MichaelBridge3 жыл бұрын
@@heinii1257 Sorry for the VERY delayed reply... yes, "Converter / Free-bass / Bassetti" etc all mean individual notes on the left hand. However there are several layouts of those individual notes. Mine is called C-system, or "minor third" or Italian system.

@@MichaelBridge BTW, I forgot to mention, you did a wonderful job on your User Programs. The church organs were really authentic. Your implementation of the drums on the left hand was outstanding especially for the Zydeco genre Oh heck, your entire UPG offering is outstanding! I will eventually buy them from you :)

Alas, I don't know. I learned it by ear as a kid, and I've been trying to find out the title for years. Unfortunately nobody seems to know. A few people have inquired, so I'll write it out in the coming months once I've finished my thesis. Best wishes :-)
