Hi Guys. Great show! Very good indeed. I have a guestion: I have a 63 Ford Falcon Futura convertible. I will attempt to install the new convert top myself with the help of your fantastic videos of course. Can you tell me if the convertible struture is the same as the 66 Mustang in terms of dimensions-- distances between the bars? Thanks, Mark

What size staples are used for the top?

At about the 9:50 mark I see the use of screws (8 total) to hold the pads to bow #2 and #3. My bows do not have holes for this but I can tap some pretty easily. Question is where can I get those screws and flat washers?

I know this is an older video but can I just purchase a new rear curtain and replace just my old, yellow/cracked rear curtain? Will the new zipper work with the old zipper?

It might. Certainly worth a try. I've never done that before as usually the the rest of the top is trashed too.

Just curious as to why the parts list shows the full pad set but only the side pads were used? Why leave the quarter pads out when Ford used them originally?

WOW! Just like Computer 101. There is so much information that is not shared or even mentioned because it's assumed that the viewer knows something. I know NOTHING, therefore unable to follow the tidbits of info offered thru the eyedropper. Was hoping to find step by step instructions from the beginning but that would take to much time so I guess I'll have to fill in the blanks myself. Computer 101 didn't help either.

Didn't watch Part 2. Does it fill in the blanks left open by Part 1? What was used to determine the proper spacing of the bows? They also mentioned not putting the pads to low so they wouldn't be seen after the new top material is installed. How did you determine where that line is supposed to be? Is all that covered in Part 2?
