"all the things you wanted" is my favorite song of the album because everything about the instrumentals is reminiscent of "karaoke music" in Asian countries (Korea too, of course), so it just brings back all the good times of hanging out with friends and family and jamming out to, say, a freshly released Alan Walker song but with these kinds of instrumentals because karaoke makers have to avoid copyrights 😆😂

Upon first listen 'From the ending of a tradegy' is and will forever remain my favourite, like...it has become one of my favourite DAY6 songs, if not overall songs ever, closely followed by 'We'😭 But I just have to say that this album is just so so strong as a whole, and even after all this time I rarely skip a song from this album. Their vocals, instrumentals and lyrics will never fail to surprise or amaze, and everytime I'm just really greatful for what they're giving to us👏🏻

For "the end of a tragedy" what you said about the lyrics are a lot about moving but the song itself felt kind of stucked: I thought this is because from the perspective of the person singing the lyrics, it makes sense... they want the other person to move on andeave them because they can't. They're stucked in this relationship and can't leave. The other lerson has to leave them so they're singing the song to them... so they can leave

I love this album! The only songs I don’t listen to that much are All the things you wanted (too synthy) and Right Through Me. But We, Walk, from The ending of a Tragedy, home alone, and Love Parade all take turns being my favorite.

thank you so much for this umu and henry!! aside from "all the things you wanted" (i think it was already explained pretty well by someone else in the comments), my favourite track is home alone. i usually love day6's emotional ballads and this one isn't their most sentimental track of all time but it's one of those songs where i just think it couldn't be any better. the prominence of the synth, the drums, the vocal melody and THE GUITAR LINE IN THE CHORUS (for my untrained ear, it's easier to hear to hear this in the album sampler since they played some parts of the instrumental alone) are just perfect for the atmosphere they wanted to create. reminds me of the soundtrack for a nostalgic teen movie where the protagonist is dancing around their room. easy a's "pocketful of sunshine" vibes. idk why it also reminds me of abba songs hehe 🕺

I personally love "from the beginning of a tragedy" because as you said, it really gives me 90s rock nostalgia, it especially reminds me of something u2 would have made, kind of like beautiful day? As someone that isn't a 90s kid but grew up with all these songs on the radio, it makes it very nostalgic to listen to, anyway, I just love the vibes!
