At the end of the video the spacer ring does not go between the bearing and nut. it goes under the bearing to set clearance for bearing.

No gasket on the tail housing? Just curious. Mine has black rtv on the tail housing. It’s leaking out the bottom.

When u rebuild you take it apart and put it back together obviously replace part as needed

There's probably a short to power. 5th gear shares the same sleeve with R.

I have this transmission and it was rebuilt by a shop about a year ago. The throwoutbearing has a rattle unless I push in the clutch but my maim concern in the shaking of the shifter. Whenever I'm in 1st or 3rd especially with a load on the engine or going uphill my shift shakes way more than it's supposed too. Does anyone know what causes this its driving me crazy trying to figure it out

maybe a shifter kit will help that it's easy to do it your self.

Hey do you know if the top cover shifter gasket from the M5R1 is compatible with the M5R2 version in the f150 from 1989?

Yeah it should fit. R1 is light duty and R2 is heavy duty.
