Hi Jonna, thank you so much for sharing this very pretty pattern. I'm going to try it out but I must admit that I am intimidated by the extended double crochets. I cannot see exactly where you are putting the stitch. Wish me luck as I want to complete this so badly 🥰
@JonnaMartinezCrochet5 жыл бұрын
Hello Jens! Try not to stress over them. Just remember they go in the middle stitch of that arch right below. 👍 And the extended double crochet is just a double crochet except you yarn over and extra time to pull through that first loop. Good luck! Take your time. Thank you for watching and commenting! 💞

I'm having difficulty figuring out how you get 40 stitches in row 3. Row 2 had 24 stitches, so an increase row would have 36 [24 + 1/2(24)]. I keep pulling my work and trying again, but it looks like I'll have to throw extra stitches somewhere to match you?
@JonnaMartinezCrochet5 жыл бұрын
So for round 2 you have 24 stitches. Then if you look closely at round 3, every 3 stitches we are placing 5 stitches. 24 divided by 3 equals 8. Then 5 times 8 equals 40. So that’s how’s we have 40 stitches. You’re placing a front post double crochet and double crochet in first and third stitches =4 then one double crochet in between them +1 =5. I hope this helps clear things up. Thank you for watching and commenting.
@ChaoticAeris5 жыл бұрын
@@JonnaMartinezCrochet thank you I'll try it again. I kept replaying so many times and missed that. It kept processing as a DC and FPDC DC repeat only giving me 36!
