Questions three years ago ,,,to late to answer...but using open end 10mm wrench helps unbolt the tip sensor...then move it to the middle area near the battery with the plate...had to drill two holes for the screws..and run the wire to it..

Just finished installing your tst integrated taillight...also got you license plate bracket and light....I watched your video a few times and was nervous about the wiring ..tip sendir plate and razor hacksaw parts.....I'm a machinist which helps, but not much of a mechanic.. Anyway..took around three hours...but it all works ,, brake light .blinkers and license plate light,, 👍 and it looks better then stock 👍 I have a 2019 Grom I bought a few weeks ago...if I can install it then anyone reading this can..😂 Main tools needed...beer...10 mm socket with extension...4,mm Allen wrench..razor to cut plastic..hacksaw...although could use just razor...Phillips screwdriver...1/8 inch drill for tip sensor bracket...and patience with the razor...follow the same cuts and it eventually cuts thru good.... I installed the license plate bracket backwards but it was easy to flip it when I noticed... For a little less then 200 dollars it's amazing compared to stock ...I bought the integrated lights...license holder and lights at the same time...and a relay ... Wish I could add pictures...

Just finished installing the light. Everything worked perfect. The only thing I would recommend is go ahead and install the license plate bracket when you install the plate. It's one less step of unscrewing and screwing again.

How are you getting the brake lights to get brighter when you press the brake lever? I done this install perfect and double checked everything several times. It says nothing about how to install anything that makes the brake light up under press load??! This is kind of aajor safety concern. Can seomeone help me quick?

Nah, the relay is on the signaling circuit nothing your brake and running light.

On the 2020 there is some serious hardware blocking the suggested tip sensor location. Any update? Is the tip sensor required?

Yes, the tip sensor is required. You cannot operate your bike without it unless you bypass it but we recommend against that because that is a safety device. I think the main thing you are seeing is the ABS pump there. This means that you have an ABS version of the bike. That rolled out in 2018 and we quickly reacted with an alternate relocation kit specific to that model variant. Simply do not plug in the signal plug from the tail light harness and you then retain only running and brake functions.

Our system is designed to be more rigid and as weather resistant as the OEM components. There are plenty of gaps in the OE setup that will seep water in if you take your Grom on a scuba excursion.

Oh man....we have done a custom install like that once for Photogromer. Every different setup will require different custom steps and hardware. I unfortunately can't really be any more specific.

We do not. We use stainless hardware for longevity and that hardware is silvery. You can spray paint the hardware if you wish.

No two sub cages are the same. We did a custom setup for Photogromer. He had some sort of a subcake and we were able to make appropriate spacers and modify the system to make it all work together.

@@multicamchannel we drilled larger holes through the undertail to insert spacers made of aluminum round stock. The spacers were made to allow metal to metal connection between subcage and subframe. I think you may be able to get round stock or tube that will work for you at HD or Lowes. If you don't find what you need try McMaster.com . They will definitely have what you need.

I have seen many guys with sub cages and this undertail kit. I can't guarantee they all fit as they are made differently and with different mounts. I helped Photogromer install his undertail with his subcage

aww man I was told by photogromer that there was no cutting involved, kinda of disappointed. And definitely nervous to do this now!

I must have been peeing when they cut, my bad. From what I saw it was pretty quickly installed. We spent more time welding on a tip on my stock exhaust than putting on the undertail lol. The end result is super clean, I've been ripping sketchy wheelies all week, it's solid. I had to cut for my KevTek subcage to fit when I first got that, I was kinda hesitant at first but it's pretty simple and hard to mess up if you take your time.

You will be cutting a part that costs $15 brand new. If you somehow mess up it's not a lot of money to restore it. If you follow our video you should have good results.

We actually design quite a few of our tail lights that have that feature already built-in. Unfortunately this particular light did not have enough room in the capsule for the programming functions to be installed. However, we are hoping to release a stand-alone unit next year that will enable the "strobe brake" function on virtually any tail light on the market. Stay tuned!
