I have 100% tca that I need to dilute to 25%. I've never done a tca peel before but I have scars on my face and I need to have at least a moderate effect. I have distilled water that I'm using to dilute it but I don't want to dilute the entire bottle..I only want to dilute the solution that I will be using for my cheeks. I only have alcohol 70 percent isopropyl. Is it OK to just use that 3 times before I use the tca?

Use a syringe or Pipette to draw up an amount of TCA (100%) based on that part of its 1ml for example then add 3 mls of water to cut it to 25%

DID YOU KEEP IT FOR MORE THAN 5 MINS THEN? i bought a 35% and i am planning to keep it for like 3 mins is it safe if i follow the way you did with 30%
@SpaandTell16 күн бұрын
That’s a really high percentage and if this is your first TCA peel I WOULD NOT USE THAT STRENGTH! TCA works with time and layers. You don’t need 35% if you can’t tolerate the 5 minute layering cycle. Doing it in 5 minute layers at a lower percentage is much safer than applying a high percentage for less time. You can seriously hurt yourself with TCA so I’m only worrying this to make sure you understand and you are aware of what you are planning on doing 😘 I love diy obviously and I want to make sure you get the results you are looking for. You know what I used that same brand in it said it was TCA so I never neutralized it. When I went back and read the ingredients, it was more than TCA, even though the front of the bottle said TCA and ended up having a couple of other assets in it, and I woke up the next day with a bad chemical burn on my face. I’m wondering if they just put the wrong bottle in? But I’ve never neutralized TCA before because it just stops you know. I could not believe when I went back and read that it also had lactic and glycolic acid in it!
@SpaandTell5 ай бұрын
Makeup artist choice says that their 30 TCA has other AHA’s? I’ve never gotten that info from them and I work with them. I’ve neutralized their peel and then I’ve not. But on the times I’ve not stopped it early I’ve not had any issues. Please Let me know the exact acid you used?
@HappiCat0075 ай бұрын
@@SpaandTell you know OK when I click on TCA 30% on the brand and then I scroll down under ingredients it says glycolic acid and lactic acid in it. But it wasn’t at your recommendation. I bought it. I just found it on the Internet and bought it and it’s on me because I never neutralized it but I did not neutralize it because I’ve never neutralized TCA and I usually use a different brand. So I assumed because it was just TCA I did not need to neutralize… Am I misunderstanding something on there? Could you double check? Please share this with people because I think other people are used to not neutralizing TCA so they may skip it too. I had to go to a dermatologist and get on antibiotics, prednisone, and just keep my face covered with Aquaphor, but the chemical burn was very frightening. It’s like my face was cracked i’ve never seen anything like it before, and if I would’ve known, it wasn’t pure TCA, I wouldn’t have done it. I’ve always used TCA at home and never had a problem before this. Now here I am getting ready to do another peel, but it will be strictly TCA lol
