Nice Kuner clock find. Not sure if they were related to Gebrudner Kuner or not. The movement dates started in 1970. Because there is no date on this movement or date code then that means the clock was made in the 60s. If it was made in the 50s it would have DRGM or ANGM numbers on it they quit that in the 50s however the GM numbers might have replaced the DRGM and ANGM numbers so it very well could be made in the late 50s but I am leaning more toward the early 60s. SO far all is looking great. Thanks for the shout out. God bless you also.

As we know, every one copied the idea of another companies clocks to grab the sales if they could. So, I am in the same boat as you when it come to are they related or not. That is right. You would think if someone paid Good Money for the clock, they would do a better job of protecting the clock. The music is An der schonen blauen Donau [By the Beautiful Blue Danube (a waltz)], and Die Fledermaus Walzer ["Fledermaus" is a bat; so it's "The Bat Waltz" -- both were composed by Johann Strauss II] -- I looked it up😁. What a unique and beautiful clock! When I lived in (West) Germany for four years ('82 to '86), I was told that the Germans thought of cuckoo clocks as "junk." I don't know how true that is though. Wish I had bought a cuckoo clock when I was there. Thanks for sharing with us, Mike.

I have watched other videos on cuckoo clocks, and they said the Germans didn't buy cuckoo clocks, there were just for the tourist. With that said, there are some very nice cuckoo clocks out there that have great carvings. The problem with a cuckoo clock is they are considered a dirty clock. They have chains that drag dust and hair up inside the movement, the pendulum has another opening for the dust to get in and if you have dancers that spin around, the whole hole is open for the dust to get into the movement. Most the time it depends on how clean your house is, how dusty your house can get from roads, cooking, the area you live in will all play a factor on your clock. The book says every 5 to 7 years you should take your clock down, remove the movement and blow it out with a can of air for keyboards. Then you should oil all the pivots to freshen up the oil from drying out and loosen the dust that might have been caught up in the pivots as well.

Мы русские всегда ищем не стандартные варианты решения (как в фильме Армагеддон) и мне сказали, что такую бумагу можно заменить термобумагой для распечатки чеков в магазине, она такая же прочная, не пропускает воздух и очень тонкая, нежная и надёжная. У нас иоворят , что многие ставили такую термобкмагу для чеков в меха и она отлично работает. Если у тебя остались обрезки бумаги, то проверь, она, случайно, не темнеет от нагревания как термобумага? Спасибо за интересные ремонты, всегда рад смотреть твои ролики!

This clock looks so cool! Love the clocks with the people! Have you ever searched on ebay for any clocks? Just curious. I like finding vintage garden decor or home decor at thrift stores. You should open up your own clock repair business or "refresh" clocks and sell them❤. Haha that melody would put anyone to sleep😴. LOL it definitely needed some wd-40😅. Awww thats cute how they turned in circles😊. Lately i have been finding stuff on peoples curb they get rid of and turning them into projects,so much fun😫. Have a good day😊

Don't know why, but I found your comment in the spam section. WD-40 might clean the brass on the movement, but you need to get that stuff off so dust doesn't collect. I have bought a few clocks on E-Bay. there are some good deals there, but clocks are going sky high right now. lol, I am suppose to be retired and don't really want to mess up my hobby repairing a lot of other peoples clocks.
