I lost my brother a year ago to suicide. He was 33. The pain is unimaginable. I would wake up to me crying in the middle of the night for months. It ripples out to everyone who every met him. Even a handyman who met him a couple of times burst out crying when he found out the news. If you are reading this and feel like hurting yourself or that no one cares if you are gone, please please just tell people. Tell everyone you meet until someone helps you. The pain just gets transferred to the whole world. My brother kept it inside. Also, if you are afraid for someone you love please research the signs. There are common signs that I missed… like surprise visits or presents, not sleeping, losing weight, certain mental health issues like bipolar, etc. Know the signs and ask the person you love if they are wanting to hurt themselves. It’s awkward to talk about but you can save a life.

Julz my brother was 33 also.. it took me long time to accept his decision.. I didn't know what to do with my feelings at first. Eventually my friend and I wrote a song for all the beautiful lost boys .. Our boys have flown back into the arms of the one, back to where they 1st began.. 🌱🙏👣🌿

This man lost his mother. His home, his brother. And lives in a van now.. This broke my heart. I'm also a drifter. My dad died when I was 18. When I was in jail. The jail didn't let me go to the funeral. I became homeless when I got out and stayed that way for many years. I know what its like to feel that pain and be alone. My first love died while I was homeless. My dog died 6 months after my dad. My mom's an alcoholic and she's 53 she's on antidepressant pills and anti anxiety and still drinks. When I was homeless a 50 year old man died in the shelter from doing just that. In his sleep. I'm lost. I feel this. Love u brother 💔🙏

I’m so sorry for your loss 😢 I can relate as I’m a full time nomad with mental (and physical) health issues and have often struggled with suicidal feelings. One time I tried to reach out to my sister for help as I was suicidal and scared and she said: “I’m not having this conversation with you”. She then blocked me and shut me out of her life and so I ended up in hospital but after a while of trying to reconcile with her and being totally ignored by her I moved back to Australia, bought a cheap old van and have been wandering solo ever since. I think there’s a lot of us out there on the road who struggle to “belong” in this world.

What 2020 made me realize is that it’s the beginning of new things. I lost my dad that January. It hasn’t been easy. But it made me realize I’m still here and just that alone can take you places you never thought. Honor them by living a happy and fulfilling life. Cry when they come to mind. But don’t dwell on it. Earth keeps on spinning no matter what. You have the potential to start your own family and instill the values you want for them.

Lost my pops to early on set dementia at age 62 right before covid hit. I can look back & find humorous situations. Once, in the middle of a crowded restaurant during lunch hour, he picked up my left hand & sang with great gusto Charlie Pride's, Does my ring hurt your finger when you go out at night? It’s still being investigated! 6 months and they are still trying to figure it out.. And no, it was just a replica gun. He was shot at over 13 times by two cops, also on the ground..

Lost my mom to CANCER in April of 2021 and we lost the family home too, I had to move her two little dog's to a different home and move into an apartment! In January the dogs escaped from the yard and tried to go home to be with my mom! They got run over trying to cross a major roadway heading to our old home, I have been devastated by the sight of them both! I feel I failed both them and my mom😞

I lost my baby brother July 4th . He was only 29. He was my best friend. My only sibling. He meant everything to me. I was supposed to had been going to his house to see him but was running late. He died by overdosing. I blame myself. Still hurts today as much as it did in July. Hang in there as there has to come a day where it gets easier somehow. 😞 edit: I lost the women who was the one to raise me like a mother in Feb 2021 five months before my brother. She was my grandmother but in every sense she was my mother. You’re functioning so much easier than I am. I envy you.
