@@HolyLandSite Sorry but the Exodus route and crossing you show is wrong. See Exodus 14:9 KJV: "But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pi-Hahirot, before Baal-Zephon." The name "Pi-Hahirot" stands for "mouth of water", and this is found at the southern tip of the Sinai peninsula, and it faces the ancient site of Baal-Zephon, which is to the east. So the Exodus route coming out of Goshen, Egypt headed south on the western side of the Sinai peninsula, rounded its southern tip until they reach Etham, where they found a dead end due to an impassable mountain area, then they turned around and headed south where they encamped at the mouth of the Gulf of Aqaba (straits of Tiran). So the crossing of the Red Sea was at the strait of Tiran! This is most accurate description of the Exodus route. See more information on this at www.bible.ca/archeology/bible-archeology-exodus-route-straits-of-tiran.htm
@peterleadley71033 жыл бұрын
@@sbcburgos2300 Tiran Island is just south of the place indicated in this video. The Straits of Tiran, opposite Sharm el Sheik, are 290 m (950 ft) deep. Even allowing for sea level rise over 3500 years, this is an impractical proposition. I've dived there and the drop off is spectacular. Almost vertical. I would contend that the "Pi-Hahirot" or "mouth of water" you mention, refers to the Nile Delta.

Здравствуйте Pastor Fink! My name is Mikhail (Russian Orthodox Church and 36-year Biblical Scholar, incl Archeology) and I truly thank you for one of the first and closest exlanations about the Exodus...for I would have locked myself up for 7 days in Monestary calming myself in our God ha you mentioned "Yum Suph" i.e. "Sea of *REEDS* !" I have quite a few challenges with Exodus that just does not make sense, or defy scientific scrutiny. Eg: 1) 2.3 Million people travelling through a muddy marshland for 300Km would never create two very high seawalls on both sides! Nile Crocks, African Boas, Egyptian King Cobras as well as feet sucking into mudd, Egyptian Army Chariots would get stuck and the Reed Sea would have been too close to the Philistines God warned Moses to avoid; 2) One unexplained problem is that it is written they crossed the "RED SEA" or Gulf of Aqaba, BUT *WHY* cross any sea in the first place? Why not just lead the Israelites the route Moses took when he fled to Median as on this map 6:20 ? Sure you might argue that the Angel wanted to punish the Egyptians as they allegedly followed after the slaves on the seafloor. BUT, scientifically I struggle to reconcile how a hurricane force wind which had to continue blowing to keep the waters open (if that is actually possible, for how many East winds have blown over those waters ever since. Who said the parting was a miracle? God told MOSES to call the wind. Moreover, I have been blown off my feet with wind gusts of ~60 - 80 Km/h. I still find it difficult to imagine those slaves walking on the seafloor, very strong wind from the front posting then straight towards the incoming Egyptian Army on their heels! But, who am I to doubt when I was not there to witness the event? 3) We do have archeology relations with our Arab Partners, and we cannot find ONE animal bones, 3 Million - 2 Israelite burial sites or bones anywhere! No potter, Metal Pieces, etc especially after staying that long in that wilderness. There are two structures near a high back carbonized mountain some say are altars, yet, a river or flowing water is required to remove sacrificed blood from the camp to prevent plagues! But, perhaps Moses touched some rock that made water flow from it. Yet, where are the estuaries or bones of every Israelite minus 2 that left Egypt but never entered the Holy Land's bodies and those of hundreds of thousands of animal carcasses. I mean, we dig up Dinosaur bones much older than 3-4000 years? But, like I said, I prefer your analysis above all other's thus far, I guess God might clear up some mysteries at some point! God bless you all, our Partners! До свидання! Saint Mikhail Rimsky Korsakov (Russian Orthodox)

I^ve known the Gulf of Aqaba was the crossing Point since 2005 when on a kibbutz in Israel I watched "Mountain of Fire the Search for the True(or Real) Mt Sinai".A few days or couple of weeks later I climbed the "traditional" one in Sinai which was a great experience but I was glad I knew the truth that it was the fake one.Jonathan Gray's "Surprising Discoveries" series is also so compelling including the Episode on the crossing where he explains it even further,about how the water congealed that is turned into ice as it says in the song Miriam sang "congealed".He really goes into the "science" of it that God used.Thanks so much for this enthralling Video.Much of the footage was taken from The Ten Commandments,right?But Color enhanced.It was from so far back,the 50s.The depiction of the sea parting was so much better in it than in Moses the Lawgiver from the 70s though I love that production too.

Really well-done video. I love the HolyLandSite video series because they are well researched, provide much evidence, and the graphics are awesome. For my entire life, I always wondered why God had the Israelites wander through the desert for 40 years and now, Pastor Todd Fink has shown me the answer. It was for two reasons, one so they wouldn't change their minds and return to Egypt and two, so the current generation would be gone so they couldn't recall the life they once had in Egypt and confuse the minds of the new generation of Israelites with ambiguities. I look forward to every one of the HolyLandSite videos and can't wait for the next one.

This is a good, basic informational video on the true route of the Exodus. Thank you. 5:25 "The Israelites spent around 400 years in Egypt". That doesn't correspond with what the Bible teaches. Actually, the years of "captivity" started with Ishmael and Isaac. You will notice only 3 generations (maybe 4) were born in the country of Egypt, showing conclusively that they were not in that land for 400 years. 28:40 Glad to see you finally mention Ron Wyatt. Actually, he was a Seventh-day Adventist layman who believed God's words, and was blessed of God to discover many things, including this Red Sea crossing over 30 years ago. You should at least provide a link to his KZbin channel in your description box.

Thanks for commenting. The Israelites actually spent a total of 430 years in Egypt. 30 years they were free at the beginning of their time there and 400 as slaves. Regarding Ron Wyatt, we are grateful for his work but our research was far bigger than Ron's so it would be difficult to put a link to everyone who we researched. Also, much of what we based our video on was the Bible itself. Thanks again for commenting and God bless.
@statutesofthelord4 жыл бұрын
@@HolyLandSite Your research was "far bigger" than Ron Wyatt's? You are entirely mistaken. He devoted over 40 years to actually finding these places when no one knew about them, and now you and others are just reaping the benefits of his labors. Of course the Israelites did not stay in Egypt for 430 years. It is not possible according to the Bible. Do you keep God's 7th day Sabbath holy as He commanded? I do appreciate your videos, as there is a lot of good information in them.

@@statutesofthelord When I said my research was far bigger than Ron Wyatt's I did not mean I spent more time than the 40 years of research Ron did, but that I researched many other sources than just Ron's. I am grateful for what Ron did and do not mean to diminish his contribution in any way. Regarding the amount of time the Israelites spent in Egypt, the Bible is very clear in what it says and I believe the Bible. Exodus 12:40 says: Now the time that the sons of Israel had lived in Egypt was 430 years.

He explains all the steps from the Big Bang to the world how it is today and ourselves as intelligent human beings and made a statistical calculation that (taking into account the property of various things such as water or light etc. etc.) The chances off all these things and steps to be so well invented and being just by random chance without an intelligent being intervention are practically nihil, it would be easier to make a cat play on a piano Beethoven's 9th symphony!😄😄😄✝️✝️🕎🕎🙏🙏💒💒 And there is another scientist called W.Gitt a German engineering and head of a technical school who made a statistic calculation that the chances of the Big Bang leading to us and the world today are just by random chances 0,(in excess of 900 zeroes) = practically nihil. Professor Zichichi, head of the center of physics (I think is the European center of physics)said that loads of money have been spent in various laboratories to try to create life without any success and that anybody that studies physics and science sees that it is all so complicated and incredibly perfect that is obvious that evolution is a fairytale story and that all the existing universe must have been created by an intelligent being. ✝️✝️🕎🕎🙏🙏💒💒 Happy New Year😄🎆🎆🎆🎆🎄🎄🎄🎄✝️✝️🕎🕎🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆

@@HolyLandSite it was professor Werner Gitt. I watched one of his lectures translated in Italian. He also calculated that more than 3000? Profecies have been fulfilled and that the chances of that happening by mere luck were 0.(869 zeroes) practically nihil😄😄

Just an additional thought, in terns of them spying out the land of Cannan before brining back the bad report, it seems to make sense coming from this Arabia location as further north there is a ridge of mts that run more or less northerly. I could imagine somewhere along this is where they might’ve been able to “sneak up” on enemy cities. From Sinai it appears less protected but that’s based on aerial views.

The location of Succoth and route to Nuweiba is correct. The initial three day journey into the wilderness began when the pillar of fire and cloud first appeared as the Isrealites entered the wilderness on the Eastern side of the Southern Suez Isthmus. The journey for three days for 16-18 hours. By day and by night but not necessarily all night or a continuous 72 hours. Walking for 2.5 mph for 18 hours of each day, 54 hours total, the Israelites would have been able to cover 135 miles in just three days. This would get them almost all the way near to the northern tip of the Yam Suph, Gulf of Aqaba, and is where they first camped to give offerings as God and Moses had discussed at the burning bush. Moses told Pharoah that the Isrealites would return to Egypt that they would return to Egypt after giving offerings and worship. This is why the Egyptians were alarmed when Moses turned South rather than back to the West. The Egyptians went after the Isrealites to force them back to Goshen, not to kill them all! In fact, the Egyptians may have seen it as a rescue mission! In any case, the three day journey to the far side of the wilderness was a ruse to give the Isrealites a big head start so that after the worship and offering (and rest) they could quickly slip beyond the Egyptian controlled wilderness, through Etham at the northern end of the Gulf of Aqaba, and into Midian before the Egyptians could ever catch up with them! Got changed that plan at the last moment when he saw an opportunity to wipe out the Egyptians and glorify himself at the same time!

I do not question the biblical account of the Red Sea crossing. It happened. However I would expect a lot more debris to be found on the sea bed then what has been discovered. As such, I believe it is possible that much of it was washed into the abyss on each side of the crossing when the waters returned. Some may have been plundered, or the Egyptians may have recovered some as well. I hope one day modern research ability will provide an answer.

Thanks for commenting. This event happened around 3,500 years ago so we shouldn't expect to find a whole lot of evidence. However, when we take all the evidence into account it seems clear this is the place the Israelites crossed the Red Sea and that Mt. Sinai is in modern-day Saudi Arabia.

Where can I find the animated movie you show along with this video? I like your site and videos. You calmly share your evidence and scripture to those who want to learn and consider different opinions on the sites from the Bible. I've read Joel Richardson's book on Mount Sinai and found it fascinating too. Both of your perspectives make the most sense and offer the most geographical proof.

Have the chariot wheels been retrieved for examination?

The governmets refuse to let anybody retrive anything. I think some horse hooves and leg bones where brought up once tho. Look up Ron Wyatt.
@Flagrum3 Жыл бұрын
There would be no chariot wheels left, all your seeing except for the one assumed gold chariot wheel is coral which attached and grew on them. You're not allowed by law to disturb coral also.

An interesting passage appears at 1 Kings 9:26 which shows conclusively where the Yam Sof is located. Yam Sof is the Hebrew for the Red Sea, literally Sophzee: “King Solomon built a naval fleet at Etzion Geber which is next to Eilat (at the northern tip of the Gulf of Aqaba), by the Sophzee in the land of Edom.” It clearly says here that the Sophzee abuts the land of Edom. Since the Hebrew word Edom means red, it was called “Edom Sea”, according to the custom of that time the Red Sea, and this term, though at first used exclusively for the Gulf of Aqaba, was later applied to all of the Arabian Gulf, and it was ultimately used for the waters which surround the whole coast of Arabia, nay even for the Indian Ocean. Yam Sof literally means Border Sea and is also translated as a shallow reed or papyrus sea, but that certainly does not fit with the Gulf of Aqaba, because that is much too deep. How did people come to translate the Biblical Yam Sof with Red Sea? That is based on the 3rd century BC Greek translation of the Bible, the Septuagint. As far as the names Gulf of Suez and Gulf of Aqaba are concerned, they are relatively modern names. In Exodus 10:19 it says that God sent the locusts through a westerly wind into the Yam Sof, but that is a different sea than the Gulf of Aqaba, because that one is too far away from Egypt. Unmistakably, this refers to Gulf of Suez (as it is now called). To translate here with Red Sea is confusing. A better translation would be: “The wind drove them into the Border Sea”. The Gulf of Suez marks the first and most important frontier of the Egyptian kingdom; in this context, the Gulf of Aqaba is too far away. The Gulf of Aqaba defines the boundary of Egypt’s wider sphere of influence or hegemony. In both cases, therefore, we can talk of a border sea. As for Mount Sinai, referred to in this article and now called Mount Almond (Jabal Al-Lawz), the elevation of 2,580 meters corresponds to what is now called the Sinaitic Peninsula. In Biblical times, however, the Sinaitic Peninsula was called “Paran”, which is clearly stated in the Bible. So again, a problem of naming, which endorses the real place of the Sinai or Horeb, lying in what is now Saudi Arabia.

Websites were saying that there weren’t actually chariot wheels found at the Red Sea and that they were fake, is this true?
@HolyLandSite3 жыл бұрын
The actual chariot wheels might be debatable, but the shapes of the coral that look like chariot wheels, chariot axles, and etc. are verified and exist.
