They are fun! Don't bother trying to buy the original battery just cut wires and make your own connectors to a regular UPS battery $20 and use silicone liberally to stop corrosion on the terminals. You can unscrew the whole thing and lubricate the gears with silicon and try to seal the crappy rubber plugs, too. Good luck!

Thanks for making and posting. May need it, myself. Found 2 at auction that probably need some cleaning and lube. By the way, petroleum based "grease" eats/disintegrates rubber (as in orings). Use silicone lube for pool pump gaskets (Home Depot, Walmart, Pool supply store). Thanks, again!

Those are really cool...and totally worth $20. Are those bearings/bushings able to be oiled? Maybe the water lubricated them?? I am betting you get all four working...I believe in you!!!!!

The bearings are sealed. I took them a part and lubricated them. I think it's just the gearing (since there are so many gears) because the bearings turned out to be pretty good. Thanks for your confidence in me I appreciate it.... Now I can't let you down 😉
