This doesn't happen that often to me.
When i finish a job i usually never get to go back to it. Although Edinburgh is a very long drive from my house, 6+ hours, the job is a very good place to be. I also like the area that the job is situated.
Youll see a little bit of it in part 2

Hard working man. It's good of you to share your knowledge and expertise. You should be on much better money.

Thanks mate. I think its the right thing to do. No good having all the knowledge and not letting others have any, a bit like billionaires who don't let anyone else have a share of the money they hoard.

It created a lot of dust, i wasnt a fan of it. They should make a mechanical version and have a person specifically designated to use it.

Are they prysmian glands? I usually use their CWs on much smaller cables. I rate them though for threaded entries.

21:40 In my city the highest buildings are 40-50m, there are few 70m, recently they built a 120m tower and want to build a 500m under a flight route now. It will look stupidly high in a suburb area.
@jointechcabling9103
@jointechcabling9103 6 күн бұрын
It may have been 90m then. When you think of buildings in london, they are enormous, well over 100m tall. I just thought it sounded tall for a cherry picker.

Mostly used the larger genies and they’re rated to around 40m from memory. Highest i had to go to was 28m and that was high enough😂

Bronto skylift is 93metres and its in a new ipaf class rather than just being 1b . They are awesome though: we had one on a tv job at Murray field, basket was rated for over half a tonne!

Whaaaaaaat! Thats the last thing you'd need at 90+ meters in the air, half a tonne😲😲😲. The technology is amazing considering 100 years ago they werent even a concept.

@jointechcabling9103 it's an amazing machine, if you get a chance I'd recommend going up in one, what's more mental than the main boom height is the 30 metre reach from the base.

Long time viewer here, love the vids so this absolutely isn’t a dig. Just wondering is it really worth all the hours driving, time away from home and sleeping in the van just to earn £500-700 a week sometimes. I know the jobs that pay well will push your average up quite a bit but you could earn 700 after tax on the books for a local sparky firm. Probably wouldn’t be glanding in massive cables often though which you enjoy. Just my thoughts
@jointechcabling9103
@jointechcabling9103 6 күн бұрын
I earned the 5-700 whilst in london because of the stoppages that happened. Fortunately, i earn a lot more than that. Even though i have to drive a lot with my job, i find it well worth it. I'll put it into context. I worked locally for a friend of mine last springtime. I was near Cambridge, so i travelled every day. I had to work fridays and the travel was 2.5 hours per day. I earned 1000 before tax. If you put that against travelling to Edinburgh. It takes 12 hours of travel, i come home on thursday night, and i earn more than 1000 quid before tax, so i think it's worth the difference. Also, im so used to it that i dont see it as a chore. I've been doing that kind of travel for 27 years. Plus, i think sleeping in the van is brilliant. it's like adult camping out🤣🤣🤣. It's a way of life that I've become accustomed to, and i really enjoy it. Thanks for watching the channel, bud. That makes me feel like im doing a good job of it.👍🏻

bet you were glad the cables went in to a vertical plate and not a horizontal one above that rack. PS bronto list a 112m platform on their website!!! not a cat in h*lls chance of getting me in that!! Could you not have taken those clear plates off to make it easier to terminate the cables?
@jointechcabling9103
@jointechcabling9103 6 күн бұрын
Theres no way they were going in the top. I think they knew that from the start though. I'd like to go in it just to say id been up thet high in one. Not so sure I'd like to be working in one that was moving around though. Sliding the plates down never works. They just get in the way and hinder the bending of the cores.
