this is a great video. I have a question. so what are the dimensions of the spline? 1/4 by what? an inch? so you get 12 pices of spline out of 1 pice of pine?

+model railer Yes inches. Make the strips thinner if you are doing tight radius curves. This is a one by 12 inches cut in 1/4 inch strips

I love your videos! and enjoy this one as much as the others, but got frustrated watching him do it the hard way. Don't get me wrong I respect what his doing, but he could use 2 drills one with the drill bit and the other with the screw driver bit and newer drills. But still love his work and layout. My respect to him. RT

+retrainrun Ha. Two drills. He would probably get the wires crossed. I think there is a lot of nostalgia there and as we get older we have a tendency to use what we have and not buy new fangled battery operated dewywhatsits:). Don't you love the blood letting and the bad angle attack on the screws. Sure reminds me of the old days.
