Wat Pa Tam Wua Monastery is a Buddhist monastery located in Mae Hong Son province in northern Thailand. It is known as a center for meditation practice and has attracted visitors from all over the world who are interested in developing their meditation practice.
👉Wat Pa Tam Wua Monastery
www.wattamwua.com/
The monastery was founded in 1988 by Luangpho (Venerable) Tate, a highly respected Thai monk known for his meditation teachings. It is situated in a remote forested area, surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery, providing an ideal environment for meditation practice.
One of the unique aspects of Wat Pa Tam Wua is that it offers both traditional Buddhist monastic training as well as retreats for laypeople. The monastery has a resident community of monks who follow a strict schedule of daily meditation, chanting, and Dharma teachings. Laypeople can participate in the monastery's meditation retreats, which typically last from 1-10 days and include periods of silent meditation, Dharma talks, and group discussions.
The monastery is known for its practice of the Thai Forest Tradition, a branch of Theravada Buddhism that emphasizes meditation and simplicity of lifestyle. Wat Pa Tam Wua is particularly renowned for its practice of walking meditation, which involves walking slowly and mindfully while focusing on the sensations of the body and the breath.
Visitors to Wat Pa Tam Wua Monastery are welcome to join in the daily activities of the community, including meditation sessions and meal times. The monastery provides a peaceful and supportive environment for those seeking to deepen their meditation practice and develop their understanding of Buddhist teachings.

Hi, thanks a lot for the video! I am planning to visit this center in November. Honestly, I do not like cold weather and based on my research, November seems OK. Just wanted to know your thoughts about the season. And I am quite afraid of going there without a booking :) Do you still think I shall text them and at least inform them about my plans? Thanks a lot for all your help and interesting videos!
