Have to pinch myself every 5 mins after making breakthroughs with myself. I know its reality because it hits me like a devine ton of bricks! You know...when you know. I am. Through our one beautiful conciousness we share these gains and freedom at some point. If 50% of humanity could understand non dual, im sure the rest would wake up by devine defualt. Or if not awakened, they would be instantly faced with an overwheleming dillemma. Where they would wake or else be very uncomforatble.

It's impossible to suffocate yourself by holding your breath. You'll eventually give in and breath, and it's impossible to withdraw from the senses and turn within if you don't believe that happiness is your real nature. You'll eventually give up and reach out into the world again.

Yes, but every time the mind is turned inward it stays a little bit easier. Eventually it will stay permanently. It's like the story Bhagavan told of the bull that keeps running away from the stable. You keep tempting it with some hay to come back time and again, until it wants to leave no more because it has everything it wants in the stable.

As a hardcore devotee of Ramana and a lifelong researcher and experiencer of many fundamental spiritual paths, I want to thank your words here! I also want to consider coming to Sedona. Lodging available? I'm in a wheelchair, a 650 lb power chair. Can you accommodate me? Please let me know!

However I have no doubt there is someone around you could accommodate you. Its best to email me through my website medicineofone.com Blessings to you

“In substance there is no difference between waking and dream”. This is patently untrue and just because Ramana used this distinction to teach about the SELF does not mean it should continue to be used in teaching Advaita. , Dream uses surreal juxtaposition of different symbolic elements taken from dreamer s mind to create a disguised story which needs to “interpreted “ in order to gain insight into true meaning of dream story. Waking state is subject to same laws of physics for ALL sentient human beings unlike totally subjective logic of dream where diverse bizarre events seemingly occur with no underlying logic.
@No1Particular
@No1Particular 2 жыл бұрын
waking isn't really all that different from dream. While in dream it seems real. you only realize it is unreal from the waking state. Likewise, when one awakens from the dream of waking life one sees the unreality of the diversity and see that only the unity is Real. Also, it will be really helpful if you want to study Advaita if you read Mandukya Upanishad. It goes into extensive detail of the three states of waking, dreaming, and deep sleep and explains everything very clearly so that one can understand the similarities between waking and dream, and how Turiya is unique but encompasses and pervades the other 3 states.

@@No1Particular I enjoyed your informed expansion. When asked the difference between waking and dream, Sri Ramana is reported to have responded: “Duration.” I love that! Peace.

A dream has no continuity and is bazaar. For that reason they can be identified as something other then just another reality. Imagine if dreams were just like reality then we would think we lived in two realities. However because they are so different they serve as a clue to the fact that you are a creator and have the power to generate realities and participate in those realities without knowing what you are doing!
@andyakarudolfhessiansack7936
@andyakarudolfhessiansack7936 Жыл бұрын
That's flawed reasoning in the pointings of advaita vedanta. The dreamer is mind, mind is conciousness and conciousnes is self. They are one and the same. So of course the dreams will be warped offsprings of waking state. Why do they need to be interpreted? It is futile to even dissemble and examine waking experiences, let alone dreams. We only belive dreams are less real because of the solidity in waking state. We say that in waking it is more real because we can touch, smell and feel more solidity. But who interprets these senses? It is conciousness. Mind is the dream weaver. Objects on the seeming outside of ourselves, like bricks and plants are said to be real primarily because of sight and touch. Yet sight is merely electro-chemical signals which are interpreted via conciousness (the dream weaver). Same as any object touched, smelt or heard. All interpreted by the very same conciousness that provides your treasured dreams. The moden day man's god is materialism. Science is rigidly limited by it. We value the gross over the subtle, yet there is no evidence that so called material objects are any more real than the same images seen in dream. It's possible the mainstream knows very very little regarding reality.
