Cyn, this is terrific advice. I'm 69 YO and have retired twice. The first time (paid early retirement from an employer of 30 years) I was too young to have that much free time and my peers were still working so I got bored and went back to work. That was extremely fulfilling because I realized how much I had to offer and I really enjoyed being the "old guy" in the office. When the project I was working on ended I retired again around 65 but was much better prepared and found a balance between free/retired time and volunteering my time and experience on the board of a worthwhile charity. Be prepared, practice retirement, find the right things (and balance) to fill your retired time - Perfect advice. Thank you.
