Thank you so much for this video! I was struggling to understand how to read sectional charts until I came across this video. Thanks to you once I finally understood how to go about it because of this video and today I passed my test on the first try, 88%! Thank you!!

Hi Olga. I passed my part 107 with an 88 thanks to this video. I needed a bit more clarity on reading the sectionals. I would encourage others to watch as many videos as possible and study for a couple of weeks at least. I also paid for a class on Udemy to help out. Thank you!

Great video thanks. It really helped me fill in the gaps I had finding latatutde & longitude locations. However, I am trying to answer the practice question on my own. However, I don't see the link to the map I need anywhere in the description like you say you posted it & unfortunately, the chart in the actual video I cannot use as I cannot manipulate it to the areas I need to see in order to solve the question. Can you please help and post the link to the image? Thanks.

Well that's cool but have a good question, what if the question has 3 set's of numbers like 47° 34' 30" N Latitude and 100° 44' 00" longitude , so what is the 30" and 00"
@kevinriemer6913 Жыл бұрын
I don’t understand where you got the 47 from when you started on the 48… Wouldn’t it be 48 and 40 minutes south?
@OlgaAndreevaVideos Жыл бұрын
Hello! Remember that since the FAA will only be showing maps from the Northern Hemisphere, latitude will increase going north and decrease going south. This means the equator is 0 degrees latitude and the north pole is 90 degrees latitude. I started at the 48 since I knew that would be a good reference point to find where 47 degrees and 40 minutes was on the map. If we had started at 47 degrees, we would have had to count out 40 minutes north of that, as opposed to starting at 48 degrees and counting south 20 minutes. 48 degrees and 40 minutes would be 40 minutes north of the 48 degree line of latitude.

@@OlgaAndreevaVideos thank you… so as soon as you went below 48, it became 47 and then whatever minutes it ended up being to find the airport… I have to get the hang of the longitude and latitude… I love the way you explain everything with your hand written notes… Thanks again

Maybe Im seeing 40 minutes from 47 and you kept saying 20? And then crossed at 20 rather than 40 like the question says???? Mercer was my answer
@Lookin4Things7 ай бұрын
@luxurycommerciale mercer it was. Sill confusing. I passed with 89. You must study because there were several trick questions. Use up the entire 2 hours and the faster you answer the questions AI will make the questions more difficult.
@Feat_Forward_Jake6 ай бұрын
Nope - you guys confused the heck out of me for a second. YES, She's saying 20' SOUTH of 48⁰. Since 48⁰ is essentially 47⁰60'..(I know, it doesn't exist, just trying to oversimplify).... to get to 47⁰40' you need to SUBTRACT 20' from 48⁰ or, (for point of explanation) SUBTRACT 20' from 47⁰60' What do you get? 46⁰40' She kept saying 20 minutes and crossed at 20 minutes because that was the SUBTRACTION amount FROM 48⁰ Again, giving you 47⁰40' I don't know what you saw in your test... if it was the exact question. If you received a checklist of wrong and correct answers from your test, but either you or the test was wrong. In this SPECIFIC example. She is 100% correct.

@@Feat_Forward_Jake yes she had the correct answer that was on the same on test

See, now I'm REALLY confused... Your comment says "mercer it was"... However she said.. ' Garrison' ... Which would be the correct answer... 🤔

@Feat_Forward_Jake If you have time, get the ASA questions AND!! answer book that actually goes with the study guide provided by the psi testing site. That ASA book was the guide that helped me the most, why in the heck wouldn't people be advising that is beyond me other than to make money by not mentioning it. Pilot Institute barely mentioned it.
