It's time to hibernate the Skoda Favorit for winter . I used STA-BIL to stabilise the petrol ,left the hand brake of and put the Skoda Favorit into reverse gear and left the windows down so the inside will get some ventilation to it.
I left the battery on so that I can periodically drive the Skoda around the compound , weather permitting , this will keep the battery charged and the brakes up to scratch.

It’s lovely to see the precious Favorit again, and even better to see her safely tucked up in a pop up garage for the harsh winter ❄️ months!!!.

The Favorit is well worth looking after, Shaun. It's been nice to see it get some tlc as well as now it is being given a gentle Winter regime. You are clearly fond of her, and have been pleased at its characteristics and performance. Look forward to seeing it at a car show sometime. I still have very fond memories of the white GLXi Estate - the 'Very Useful Vehicle' that I owned between 1995 and 2001.

Thank's for that . These Skodas were well on top of there game when they first came out , reliable, versatile especially the estate and very economical. This old girl is 25 years old and she is going to get all the tlc I can lavish on her. Having owned one yourself ,you will know what I mean.

A true petrolhead's garage.....full of "crap" that we'd never throw away because its "precious crap" could always come in handy, my mate has 3 like that 🤦‍♂️😁

How come your not using the skoda over winter?

Windscreen needs a re-seal so I can do this over winter ,,plus there#s no point in taxing 4 cars at this point so the Skoda can come of the road for a bit.
