Yep you got me buddy 😉👍I’m now a subscriber 😁fantastic job there and thank you so much for sharing this with us all.👍lots of hard work mate but you know that it’s all going to pay off in the next 4/5 years of M.O.Ts possibly even more. Great video pal and well explained. Oh yeah I’ve also got mine to do🤦♂️not looking forward to that 😢🤦♂️But it’s got to be done. Because I seriously don’t want another welding bill like I did a few months ago 😢£600😮 so thank you for inspiration and motivation. But I think 🤔 I’ll wait a little bit longer for a little bit better change in the weather 😁😉take care. And have a great Christmas and happy new year 🎅🏻🍺☮️

Well thank you very much for your comment and I am glad it has inspred you , It is a battle to keep the rust at bay on the Transit smielys but hey this van is now going on 24yrs old . It cost me nearly 3k in 2016/17 to have all the rust cut out of it and the welder had a night mare of a job to keep himself motivated to complete it , it took him nearly 2yrs to sort out all the issues , we were both tering our hair out at the end of it. I have had some fun times in it going abroad but I have a degenerative illness that is going to get worse and I am now looking at selling my camper but enough of that. Get stuck into yours and I hope you have plenty of happy miles to do in it , if you check through my videos and look for the one that says the tail of the Transit smiely you will get a good backround of how I came to own it and all the welding that has been done on it , onse again thanks for your comment and the sub and and and merry chritmas and happy new year to you and yours.

Hi Shaun,another great video,you have a brilliant job on the wheel arches,it's took you a while to sort out but the results are worth it.

Hello Steven , yes it took some time but hopefully it will all be good.

Bloody hard work that Shaun, I'm putting off doing the same thing to my old FIAT cinquecento. Budget wise, I'd be doing it abit at a time. Main thing is finding stuff that actually works. I've treated rust before and it's come back, much to my dismay.

Hello Terry , I was wondering myself if what I have used will be effective or not ,I will just have to see how it goes over time. It was hard work but now done for the time being.

Great to see you back on KZbin. I dont any muck is going to stick to those arches now.

Hello Paul , I hope it's going to be all good , just have to wait and see how effective it will all be.

Great work Shaun, this should certainly keep the dreaded corrosion at bay!!.

Hello Kattie, here's hoping that the rust will stay at bay for a good length of time.

I'd strongly recommend using some form of underseal at least in the areas that are subject to debris being thrown up from the wheels as Hammerite can be prone to being chipped by flying stones and road debris which will let the moisture get in and start attacking the metal again...
@ShaunMurray633 жыл бұрын
Hello Jamie , yes I have been pondering should I put some stone chip over certain areas of it.

@@ShaunMurray63 I think it would be a good idea, at least in high impact areas even for only that it's an extra layer of protection...
