i would love to know how to configure boundry for Home Office / VPN ( criteria is IP) users and how to control that they download updates from the internet and not over the slow VPN connection. In times of Corona this would be very helpfull to know more about that please.

Check \Monitoring\Overview\System Status\Component Status and search for SMS_AD_USER_DISCOVERY, right click on SMS_AD_USER_DISCOVERY and check messages. You will see if there is problem.

Hello Jay, first i want to say Thank you very much for these great videos! Step by Step..great! It took me while here and then to tshoot, but i came until here, and no further!. ADK 1803 with ConfigManager 1902. Compatibility wise its supposed to be working, but it will not connect to the Server Site. In the beginning i had Issues SQL Database Fatal Error during installation, but i restarted from scratch, (removed all features, uninstall all software, SQL etc) and now i could at least install the ConfigManager. But it still wont allow me to connect to the site. Logged with SCCM User, Permissions Triple Checked...no idea anymore why its not working. Would you be able to give me some hints what else to check please?

@@TekNexSolutions SCCM, i can provide some screenshots. Also, since an update, ON SC01 all Servers down, inclu. ISS...WSUS...I'm tempted to erase the SC01 Virtual Machine and start from scratch, there must be somewhere now a big mess up.

It is hard to go through that file. Would you be able to share ccmsetup.log as it is?

Don’t copy the text in notepad. Share the file as it is(copy ccmsetup.log > upload file and share). Because the file you shared earlier does not open properly in CMtrace.

Hi I cannot open SCCM Console having this error msg. “The Configuration Manager console cannot connect to the Configuration Manager site database. Verify the following: • This computer has network connectivity to the SMS Provider computer. • Your user account has Remote Activation permission on the Configuration Manager site server and the SMS Provider computer. • The Configuration Manager console version is supported by the site server. • You are assigned to at least one role-based administration security role. • You have the following WMI permissions to the Root\SMS and Root\SMS\site_ namespaces: Execute Methods, Provider Write, Enable Account, and Remote Enable.” Really appreciate your help. @@TekNexSolutions Hi thank you for the reply. The account I'm using is already inside the SMS admin group and the other SMS user group. I even edit and add my account in console root component services but still I'm having this error. Tried googling my way out of this but coudnt find any solutions. Is it because I'm using windows server 2019 instead of 2016?
