I'm about to dive balls deep into this myself. So glad I can watch you suffer and learn from your mistakes 😂 I'll be waiting patiently for more!!!

lol, by all means watch and learn, if I actually show anything worthwhile. But make no mistake, I love doing this stuff, there is no suffering involved!

Hello Sir ! I have a 1962 Chevy C10 with an inline 292. I got it about 2 years ago and have done very little to it because, well frankly I am not a mechanic LOL I found a video that you have on Brakes? I am going to start there and stay here in your channel to help me get this truck on the road ! I appreciate all your time and efforts! I enjoy your patience and knowledge, again thank you so very much for these videos ! Greetings and blessings from Houston, Texas! Stay safe and keep these videos coming please !!!

That was one heck of a tape job.I understand why you use the original connectors, it really does look good.

Just received all the wiring diagrams for my 66 c10 a few days ago. Perfect timing to learn from the best!

Hi Jayhawker! these are the best that I have found for a novice starting a 65 c20 rebuild project. Brake overhaul was nothing short of excellent! I can't seem to get the right signal indicator to flash on the dash. signals work but dash not so much. I'm going to rewatch the inside video to see if I can chase it down. Thanks for all you do!

If memory is working for me I think the wires going to the indicators and the TS lamps themselves tee off from a common wire. So the indicator wires or the sockets could simply be switched around.

You can still get the oem crimp terminals for the bulk head connecter better than cut and soldr

You should put all the build videos into one long video when your finished instead of all those short ones.

Where oh where can I find replacement connectors that are the original configuration? Meaning I’m re-wiring my harnesses but the connectors are shot. Where can I find just the connectors?
@TheJayhawker Жыл бұрын
that's a problem. The best I can advise is to find other used or salvaged pieces or to get a rubber molding kit and mold new ones if yours can at least be used as patterns. Or if you know any young whipper-snappers with a 3D printer they could easily print you a mold.

Sure wish you would have shown installation of harnesses. My 65 has been so jerry rigged I don't know what it is supposed to look like. And you mentioned "Standard" for a source. Standard what?

Also I'm on a tight budget.

Hey Jayhawk , I'm going to rewire my whole 1951 chevy pick up. What harnesses would you suggest?
@TheJayhawker3 жыл бұрын
You can find replacement harnesses from outfits like chevsofthe40s.com or Jim Carter for around $200. An original style cloth covered wire harness will cost much, much more. I however really enjoy building harnesses and so I buy new cloth wire from YNZ's yesterdays parts and build 'em myself, using what I pull out for a pattern. You can check out a couple videos I did on a '48 Chevy to see what that looks like.
