I've always hated when people call Corrin stupid for not recognizing Azura for the reasons that: > She was in vastly different clothing with Veil, > singing and dancing in styles that up until this point we had no idea she learned, > and to top it all off it's implied that the Royalty sat with King Garon in the Balcony far away from the stage. The stuff that people claim to be dead giveaways don't really apply when we take real world phenomena into account. My favorite example is Henry Cavill once stood in front of a Superman Billboard wearing a Superman T-Shirt on a busy street and nobody recognized him. Azura actually wore a costume that obstructs parts of herself.

Azura probably isn't the only blue haired dancer in Nohr either, and that's the only thing you could clearly see from that distance. "Lost in Thoughts" might also be some traditional song in Fateslandia, though that's a stretch, if not contradicting something else. Media just generally suffers from this, especially if the writers want to make the character recognisable. A properly camouflaged Azura would probably look less iconic.

ODIN DARK IS FIELDED! I REPEAT, ODIN DARK IS FIELDED! That introductory bit about how different the approach is to this map on your typical Conquest LP’s and this one made me appreciate the efforts put into those videos even more than I already was. The movement tactics used to transport all these characters were so sick I think I’ll be rewatching this video very closely so I can understand them all. I felt your pain when you said you missed Azura - and I do too! Inspiring Song is an addicting drug. I’m shocked at how good your Odin is. Having to depower the Chosen Hero just so he doesn’t kill too many things or deal too much damage is just soooo satisfying, after all the years he’s been considered a bad unit in this game. The darkness doesn’t whispers, it screams that Odin is good, even if he’s been benched for god knows how many maps. About Odin: I see that both Niles and Laslow are building supports with him. I always go for the Laslow & Odin friendship because Strong Riposte just Hits Differently, but I’m curious to hear what good could come out of Odin & Niles’ friendship. Next chapter we will have Corrin’s Training Arc with the Levin Sword finally in his hands, Glorious Gunter Gaming and epic songs from Azura. Truly, a chapter for the legends, with a fuckton of statboosters to boot! Can’t wait

the keaton recruitment conversation (unchanged by the mod) might just be one of the worst bits of writing in this whole game. corrin is baffled by the concept of a person with a tail, and expresses amazement at the idea of transforming into an animal using a stone. he's a DRAGON. and then on keaton's part he puts his fate into the hands of some guy who self-admittedly doesn't know anything about him or where's he from, when he's just trying to go home. just an absolute failure to make the gameplay and story work together. this would also be a halfway decent opportunity to have the kitsune lair chapter make any sense: the hoshidans persuade the kitsune to take over the mountain where keaton's tribe live, they kill all the wolfskin, and so corrin & keaton go ballistic and hold nothing back against them since they just slaughtered a perfectly nice person's family and friends for a war he never wanted to be a part of. real 'tragedy of war' stuff, rather than 'corrin goes sicko mode because ???'.

1:05:27 so, i can’t say for certain, but given that the archer doesn’t move until you get in entrap range, maybe it’s actually coded to move once entrap is *used* that’s the only conceivable thing i can think of as for why it doesn’t go for the kill; it can’t move. or maybe it and the other archer dual strike doesn’t kill beruka???? but i suspect you’ve already calced that out. but yeah. that’s a certified “i dunno” moment if i’ve ever seen one

It really hit me in the Leo conversation at the end of this chapter how abusive Garon is. I think it was easier when he was like a comically over the top evil, but with the dialog changes "softening" him, it makes the abuse he inflicted on his kids even more obvious somehow

Minor request for future chapters, would it be possible to show the animations for offensive staff uses? Obviously healing ones are boring and we don't care so those can be skipped, but it would be nice to see the hit% for offensive staves especially when used by the enemy. Like when you mentioned Nyx having a bad staff avoid, but then she dodged the Hex Rod anyway.

Was surprised to see a video today, but I'll happily take it. I was almost correct with guessing who would be deployed, instead you deployed Beruka over Mozu, I guess like you said it's better to break friendship chains quickly and Keaton can't get both C supports this chapter. Guessing who will be deployed next chapter is practically impossible, so I won't embarrass myself trying. I've been trying to figure out enemy movement order, so if you or anyone else knows, I would appreciate your input. I've noticed that enemies tend to attack in the order of who does the most damage, but I haven't actually tested it. In the case of multiple enemies doing the same amount of damage how would I know who moves first, is it predetermined or random, and if it's the former how do I learn the order, is it similar to the older games where I can scroll through the enemies to tell, or would it just be trial and error to figure it out?

Order Priority I know Is Interruption - If any unit sees a kill it will take it. Units can bump themselves to the front at any time they see the kill. 1. Status Staves 2. Most Damage Without Dying 3. Most Damage With Dying Who moves is kinda complicated, cause some formations don't move, or move together. Like Hinata's group on Takumi's great wall does not agro until you are on (or over) the bridge, even though their ranges go past. I am not sure what tie breaks, it might be random, but there is no order to scroll through in game.

@@Grimsleeper86 Thank you this is helpful, It's mostly like I thought. My guess is that tie breaks are predetermined, in the video the two archers that hit Niles moved in a specific order and it seemed like Zoran was confident in this and not that he had to hope the left one moved first.

They probably put promoted generics this late in the game, compared to BR and REV, because they actually planned to balance it on the fact of no skirmishes. In other routes, you could technically over level like crazy with skirmishes being infinite if you wait daily. I believe the reinforcements in chapter 9 and 10 are infinite too. Still doesn't justify a half dozen master ninjas in chapter 10 of REV and Kinshi/Maligs in BR, but it kinda makes sense. BR promoted are insanely weak stat wise and to Takumi though, so they are promoted mainly to give your over leveled units more exp.

i see that the GGG mod does little to rationalize azura's appearance as a performer and the nohrians' face blindness to her. to be fair, there is a lot about fates that is impossible to rectify just by changing the script

To be more fair, she is also very far away from the Nohrian royals' box. Don't forget that the camera is not actually presenting a POV shot; nobody sees Azura up close. The establishing shot of the theater also shows other performers with a similar look. It's still dumb that Corrin never even really suspects Azura, but GGG does change that.

I think it's a bit silly that no one recognized her singing voice, as it's presented as being particularly beautiful in the game. Combine that with the blue hair and weird water powers and thinking it was her becomes the natural conclusion.

Seeing a Felicia with a base 8 def just hurts me so much. On my play through, my Felicia had a based 3 defense(if I remember correctly) and she was like level 13. Mine was definitely blessed with res growths but they didn’t do much when mage units ignored her.

It can work, sure, but dagger units tend to want a lot of Def to be really great, and Peri won't usually have that. (She'd basically become Kaze 2.)

@@kamijazz65 It’s a pretty boring answer, I’ll admit, but Peri’s best class would be wyvern, at least in my opinion. She has good strength and speed in it, preserves her lance rank (at least in Wyvern Lord), gains access to an Elbow Room/Str +2/Trample stack, and generally gets respectable player phase combat. Her enemy phase game (and the Bloodthirst abuse that comes with it) isn’t great with only handaxes and javelins, but that is unfortunately not something that is easy to change about her.

It just occurred to me... Selena is a Wyvern, for Rally Defense, and has Sky Knight, for Rally Speed. Laslow is going after Rally Skill, and Rally Strength from Keaton, presumably. I assumed you were going to make Selena!Laslow a Footwork + Speed + Strength + Skill Rally bot, but you could also give Soleil Rally Defense instead of Footwork. So I'm curious to see how that works.
