@@LovellasColoring Yes feeling better...You are a temptresss of colouring books too now! LOL.. I have ( we have- my partner and I ) a small art gallery attached to our home ( in an old hall ) . I do all kinds of art - I paint in oils , watercolours and acrylics , I also work in textile art- and sculpture.. I create weird creatures and dolls etc. I also spin and weave and work in felt... pretty much alot of stuff. The colouring is just a relaxing thing to do and also helps me deal with pain and heath issues. My partner is a writer and photographer who also sells his work in the gallery

It makes me feel nostalgic as well. I grew up in Italy and all our cartoons were Japanese anime. " Dolce Candy" " Georgie" " Lady Oscar" " and so many more . I miss my childhood so much. Books like this give me comfort and take me back in time.

Oh wow! That’s so awesome! I didn’t know they showed a lot of Japanese cartoons in Italy. I think I got spoiled with the Japanese anime, that when I look at US cartoons, I’m so underwhelmed 😅 It’s so nice to have books that remind us of a great time from childhood 😊❤️❤️ Have a wonderful week!!

Lovella’s Coloring I know! It's really strange but I am so grateful I grew up with those cartoons. I don't like American cartoons either, especially the newest ones. I think they would do so much better if they turned to Japanese ones. Sometimes I can find certain cartoons from my childhood on KZbin, in Italian. And I still watch them lol. They bring me so much joy. At the same time It makes me sad I never taught my daughter Italian ( she's seven) because I believe she would love them if she could only understand them.

@pamceecee
@pamceecee 5 жыл бұрын
Derwent Inktense works well. All the pencils I tested work fine but some needed a blender or white pencil to cover the paper. I really like this paper though. So, my top favs (which means easy to layer and not a lot of effort to hide white space) is in this order: Arteza, PrismaScholars, Faber-Castell Classic and Derwent Coloursoft. I think Lyra Rembrandt Polys worked better than Polychromos. I think I like the Guang Hui over Prismas and Crayola. I have a few more cheaper brands that look pretty but not as pretty as the first four I mentioned. ☺ I haven't tested any markers but I think Crayola Super tips would be fine if the Inktense worked.

@@LovellasColoring It was the same when I found out how easy it was to order via Etsy. 😊 Dangerous! Luckily (?) for me I'm always very worried about an order getting stuck in customs - not because of the extra charge (that too) but because it can be an insane hassle to actually then get my order out of there. So I only order if I can get something that's below the customs limit (shipping included)... but I've found out that actually can be the case quite often. xD

Hi Lovella, I just watched your Japanese colouring book video and wow! Thank you so much for making it. I have nine Japanese books so far and have five in my basket at Amazon JP. They are my absolute favourite to colour. There is a sweetness they have that draws me to them. Sorry to comment so late - I have a kidney stone (again), and can't sleep.

Hi Lovella, This video came up in my feed and as Japanese colouring books (particularly Kanoko Egusa), I had to watch. I love this video - I wonder how you can leave them uncoloured as I can't wait to dig into them as soon as I get them. There is just an innocence about the books that I love so much. Thank you for sharing even though this is throwback video for you. Lots of hugs, Easter

Thank you so much for watching, Easter! Yes, I'm planning on doing an updated version of my collection. Lol, when I started out, I didn't like leaving WIPs so when I work on one illustration and with pencils only, it would take me weeks. So knowing myself, I didn't want to start pages unless I finish it. Praying for many years of coloring, so eventually I'll get into a lot of these books lol! Sending you lots of hugs!! Take care!💕🤗💕

@@LovellasColoring That's too funny... I hate having WIPs and I currently have only one other than the one I am currently working on. I won't start another picture until I finish it. I'm not sure why I did not finish the one WIP other than that it was a very long WIP and I was tired of only doing the background. I have to go back to it but first I have to colour a page in all of my new books as I am also strict about making sure that I colour at least one page in each of my books. The exception is the Posh Thomas Kinkade oil painting book of cities, houses etc. I feel completely intimidated by it. I'm ok with the Disney one but the pictures take several days for me to colour as they are so detailed. Have a nice evening with your family and lots of hugs back, Easter

THAK YOU for sharing. i love your video. You are so cute and you have great taste i coloring books. Now i have a list of books I want to add to my growing collection. Just one little suggestion - Perhaps next time you share a lot of Japanese authors you could include a list of the spelling of their names so we can look it up? I can't spell American/ English sounding so certainly cannot spell Japanese ones. Thanks again!

Hi I'm looking this just now... can you tell me what the different is between Inktense and watercolor pencils... (sorry for the question but I just started coloring and I'm in the Netherlands so I don't know all the products.
@LovellasColoring
@LovellasColoring 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Bianca!! The Derwent Inktense pencils are ink-like when you activate it with water, so once it dries you cannot move the color around unlike watercolor pencils. So if you were to lay another color on top to add depth, you won't have to worry about the previous color mixing with the new one. That's pretty much the difference to watercolor pencils. No need to apologize for your question. I hope I was able to help. Take care!

Hi Deb! Thank you! 😊❤️ The store is spelled Daiso. 👍🏼 I believe the Daiso website only sells bulked products, last time I visited their website. I do hope purchases of individual products will be available soon. Amazon.com also sells Daiso products but the price is too much compared to what you’d pay at the store. I hope this helps!
