I think Bri wanted him in the kids life whether she had someone or not. She’s been with her fiance for a while and she was telling him how much the kids missed him and when was he gonna see them, then she was almost begging him not to disappear again like he did before. She was probably very careful about how she dealt with him because she knew he could ghost anytime.

It seems Bri didn't count on Ashley not wanting anything to do with the children. Maybe that's when the ghosting picked up again. After Love is Blind wedding and filming is over, Tyler stops responding because she's not on board with dealing with "them/those kids," so he has to ghost Bri to be with Ashley.

I think Lyler kept emphasizing Bri's orientation because he's trying to convince Ashley that they never hooked up, seems to be what bothers Ashley the most and give her reasons to think that it's totally okay for him to disown his kids because they're conceived through sperms stored in a vial and lived rent free in the fridge for 2 years, not actually having freak off's and then living in the same house together for 7 years playing house.

People pleaser vs yes man - I think you hit on something very important here. Also about the abandonment and wanting the “clean” family situation where he’s the father and one of 2 parents and respected as such. Honestly, I’ve listened to a few psychologist/therapist analyses of this situation, and I think your insights are just as sharp, if not more.

Ok, hear me out…it really sounds like he wanted to be with Bri and his feelings were hurt when she went back to women. - he acknowledges that Ashley isn’t his type and we’ve learned that Bri is. - they were doing grown up naked activities to produce the babies - he can’t come to terms with his feelings because how does he say that he was on the losing end of a lesbian seduction? Now that I have re-listened to this interview it’s the only thing that makes sense. Bri is lowkey embarrassed that she was ever actually with a man. And the way Lyler talks, if you close your eyes and switch genders, is like a scorned lover. Is Bri a Scorpio? Because…

The ladies on the podcast *Your Aunties Could Never* may have been the first to propose the theory that Tyler is in love with Bri. I think their absolutely right!!!!If you view his actions through this lens, his interpretation of events starts to make sense. So if Tyler is concealing his feelings-that he’s in love with Bri and that he willingly fathered her children…Once you consider this, his behavior aligns, even his self-identification as a "people pleaser." It seems Tyler wanted more than the casual, secretive relationship Bri was content with. Bri wanted a baby and Tyler wanted Bri. She’s married, so a deeper relationship wasn’t an option, but conceiving their first child created a permanent bond between them. Bri, in turn, manipulated her wife into allowing Tyler to father the child, setting him up as a “ uncle.”To make this happen, Tyler and Bri slept together to conceive. However, Bri’s wife eventually discovered the truth, was understandably upset, and left the marriage. Now, Tyler saw an opportunity to step into the role he had always wanted: a family unit with Bri. He voluntarily stepped up, offering support and helping Bri with the custody battle. This allowed him to create a legal connection to both Bri and the baby. For a time, Bri seemed to go along with this. However, once Bri got a girlfriend, Tyler started getting pushed out. Bri didn’t want a family with Tyler-she wanted to continue being with women. Still, Tyler lingered in the background, waiting for a chance to step back in whenever Bri’s relationships ended. Perhaps he believed this cycle would eventually allow him to "pin her down." However, each time a new woman entered Bri’s life, he found himself pushed aside again. At the heart of this dynamic, Bri seems to be the true manipulator, orchestrating everything to her advantage. Tyler, meanwhile, became her useful idiot, clinging to the hope of something more while she continued to move forward on her own terms.

Tyler thinks that raising kids is transactional. I give them money - I get to parent them - but I don't want to fight to parent them cause I don't really want to be a parent, I just want to "be the father" - but since I'm not the father then I don't owe them anything. He really thinks that just because he's not fighting for a custody agreement, that means he doesn't have to pay. I wish someone had asked him, "Tyler, what makes you different from other deadbeat dads?"

This might also explain why Tyler feels detached from his children. If he’s constantly being yo-yoed between being in the foreground and the background of their lives, he likely never allowed himself to fully attach to them. This detachment could stem from a self-protective mechanism, given how unstable the situation has been. What makes him even angrier is that, throughout all this, Bri came out ahead. She earned a blue check on Instagram, manipulated public empathy to get donations for the kids, and ultimately derailed his love story with Ashley. On top of that, she jeopardized his chance to improve his financial situation and start fresh. Tyler probably felt forced to lie to Ashley because the truth was far too messy to admit before they got engaged. He had to "sell" her on the relationship without revealing the chaos surrounding him. It’s possible Ashley now knows a version of the truth, but together they crafted a different narrative-the one she confidently shared on podcasts. Unfortunately for them, that story has backfired too. Maybe this is the real angle: Tyler’s life unraveled because he tried to maintain control of a situation that was never fully in his grasp. Now, everything he hoped to rebuild is crumbling under the weight of Bri’s manipulation and his own deception.

Bri didn't derail his love story with Ashley. Tyler derailed his own love story because he LIED and keeps lying to this day. In your explanation, you are making it seem like he is a child who is easily manipulated and is not capable of making his own decision that's why he shouldn't be blamed for what is going on his life. He is a grown adult who keeps lying and making the wrong decision. He has been using people for his own benefit and then act like a victim if it doesn't go his way. He is a grown man.

From Bri’s version of events, Tyler disappeared from his children’s lives because he fell in love with another woman. But when Bri found out about Tyler’s new relationship, she manipulated him back into her orbit-possibly as revenge for breaking up her marriage or simply for the thrill of it. Whatever her motive, Tyler returned to the children’s lives, only to find himself ensnared in more conflict. Shortly after, Bri took Tyler to court for child support and started pressuring him for money. Tyler, frustrated and likely overwhelmed, tried to explain that he was broke, even showing her his bank account as proof. But Bri didn’t let up. Instead, she manipulated him further-this time using access to his children as leverage. Tyler, feeling cornered, re-entered the cycle. Bri’s pattern of manipulation becomes clearer when you look at how she involved her ex-wife. When she needed help with her child because he was sick, she managed to pull her ex-wife back into the fold, convincing her to fly down to assist. Bri seemingly has a way of keeping people tethered to her, ensuring they continue to meet her needs, even when they’ve tried to move on. For some reason, Bri seems intent on keeping Tyler on the hook, despite his financial struggles and his attempts to distance himself. Whether out of a desire to maintain control, a need for support, or simply out of spite, Bri has consistently manipulated both Tyler and her ex-wife into being caretakers for her child while she remains at the center, directing the narrative to suit her needs.

Nah..she wants him around because he is the father of the children. You are making it seem like Tyler and the ex-wife are children and are not capable of making their own decision and do not have their own ulterior motives or intentions. They are not children; they are grown adults. Also, Tyler keeps going back to them because he needs a place to stay. He was evicted 7 times.

luckily for Tyler, the state of MD defined his visitation and support obligations in 2022 so all he needs to do is fall back on what the courts defined. if he disagrees with that determination there is a legal process to contest it. but since it has already been through the court system neither Bri or Tyler can unilaterally decide what happens. in other words. if doesn’t matter how much Bri may be perceived to manipulate, Tyler has legal protections as the dad which he can at any time utilize. cause Bri is using the courts.

It all makes sense now. This explains why Tyler is so hurt-because Bri manipulated him, and now she’s humiliating him. He tried to move on. He did a complete 180, marrying a good Christian woman, and in an attempt to people please Ashley, he allowed her to refer to the kids as a "sperm donation" on *Love Is Blind.* But unknowingly, this act wouldtriggered Bri. Bri then went on social media to declare that Tyler is the father. Her motive isn’t entirely clear. Maybe she’s trying to keep him close, but it’s puzzling because she knows his character and his instability. If she has a solid career, possibly with a high-level clearance job in the military, she doesn’t need him financially. And if she always has women around, she doesn’t need his emotional support either. Still, it seems she might be manipulating him-dangling this connection to keep him engaged. This public humiliation likely compelled Tyler to defend himself. He probably believed-or was told by Bri-that they were going to build a family together. The pivotal moment came when Bri admitted she didn’t know how to make it work with a man. That was when Tyler realized the truth: she was always going to choose women, and he would always be left in the background. This revelation crushed him. He understood then that he wouldn’t have any real say in the children’s upbringing-no authority to discipline them or make decisions. This is likely why he described himself as feeling like a "glorified babysitter" whose primary role was to provide financial support. It all adds up now, and it’s clear why Tyler feels betrayed. Bri’s manipulation kept him in a position where he hoped for more, only for her actions to repeatedly prove otherwise.
