John is paralyzed on half his body from about 20 strokes, sad. But now I have to explain what's going on and then I show him the end results. oh yeah if u remember we are in a nursing home in Charleston SC. U guys are like a really good book and one can't wait for the next chapter, lol😀😁😂 Thanks guys, really!

Really enjoyed your dig. Thank you for taking such an interest in the people associated with the items you find like for the ironmonger Mr Hockaday. Maybe some of his family survived the blitz and they'll see this, but it was really neat for you to do the Photoshop and give us an idea of what it would have looked like for him & his family as they worked through their lifetime before the war.

I love the Mudlarking videos of you, Chill Bill and Nicola. And I love the history you share with your viewers. I have learned so much from just the videos. I do detecting here in Georgia, USA. And being of Native American decent, I love pipes. I was fortunate enough to be presented 3 American clay pipes, from here in Savannah, and one had a dog as the heel. Since I watch you, Nicola and Bill, I had lots of information to pass on to the club I belong to at a meeting not long ago. Also about the thimbles and pins for clothing. Thank you for making me feel as if I am there. I may never reach England, but feel I'm there with you and all your pals.

I found the research you did into the background of B J Hockaday really touching and the trouble you went to, recreating the sort of business he probably had, so brought history to life. Si, lovely part #2. Thank you for the credit. You're too kind. The brass dome part...did I spy small screws on the edge? It may be a ceiling lamp mount for a gas fixture. The main support rod would come out the center and the gas lines for the small pendant lights come out the surrounding holes. The open end would them fit to the ceiling disguising a hole. I'll try to find an image. Can't wait for the next adventure.
