Assam me connectivity thay because British k jamane se Railway se jure hai . Roads bhi hai . Atalji ne sare Bharat ko 4 lane highway se cover karne ka project suru kiye thay . Jiska name hai East -- West Corridor . East -- West Corridor ka foundation stone Modiji ne hi rakge thay 2001 me . Assam 4 lane highway se bhi jure hai . Assam me 3 Rail cum Road bridge hai Brahmaputra river k upar .

Dear friends, you are slightly out of place. Assam is not a small, far-flung place outside the pale of development. I have lived at Tejpur. Since British time, Assam has vast tea plantations. All owned by the Britishers, then. More than half India's tea is produced here. It is exported in big quantities. So the area was very much connected. My father worked at Tejpur airport in 1950. The first oil discovery in India in the nineteenth century was in Assam at a place called Digboi. ( It was named so because Brishers used to order local as " Dig Boy , Dig." It got corrupted to Digboi. Historically, Assam was ruled by the AHOM dynasty for centuries. They were ferocious warriors. The expansion of the Mughals to Assam was thwarted by a famous Ahom King LACHIT BAR'PHUKAN. MODI JI is upgrading the old dilapidated infrastructure which earlier could not be done because of , as you have rightly said misplaced priorities and more so because of paucity of funds. Now, this country never shelves any scheme because of the paucity of funds. Government revenues are overflowing. Mainly because of the GST (You can have a separate program on this) This reform has eliminated all yes all types of taxes on goods and services. No chungi. No sales tax. No manufacturing tax. For that matter n, there is tax.Instead there is one tax called GST. Goods and Services Tax. It is collected by the Central Government entirely digitically. This amount is then shared with the States and Union Territories according to an agreed formula which is arrived at by CONCENSUS. MOREOVER, in India as per Constitution every five years a " Finance Commission " is constituted to decide distribution of funds beyween the Central Government and the States Regarding GST , any attempt of avoidance is easily detected and severely punished. This has increased revenues sustiantially. It is continuously increasing. So, no dearth of funds. Meanings of some of the Hindi words used here. NEE 'RAN' TAR == Continously SAN KAL UP === A committed goal. SANKALUP se Sidhee ==/ To convert a committed goal into visible result PRA + GAA + TEE ( softer t like three) === Progress.
