Speaking from personal experience (6years), I would say to just focus on yourself and move on from that person. This does not mean that I say that I regret everything that happened but it has taught me a lot about emotional maturity and logically solving problems despite all that has happened. Emotions fluctuate and do not ever think of the "what ifs" it will cause even more mental turmoil. Self-develop yourself to the point where you uphold your self respect and self worth. I am currently planning my solo trip to Europe to fully heal, so alhamdulilah for everything. I believe that there is khair (good) in everything.

2 things 1. The reason for not exposing him is... you see cow dung, you do not throw a stone in it cz it can splash on you. You get more involved in this, it will be harder for you to let go and move forward in life (which should be your top priority....YOU and your wellness) Saying is easy but doing it moving on is tough and believe you can move on. 2. I personally believe in Karma...so God will kick him in life and we are mere humans...so let God do his work let Karma work up But You is a top priority so you get on with your life. Falling down and getting hurt isn't wrong but not getting up and trying to better your life is wrong So girl every woman in this world will pray and help for you betterment. Get up and tidy up and let life show you better colours.

My advice, is that she needs to sever any and all ties that she may have with him. Her anger and hurt will not go away in a single day so she will have to tighten her belt and fight through it. That storm exists now, but it will have to end one day and for that to happen, she has to make that decision! Make that decision and gradually move forward with the intention of getting better. She should spend this time by "herself" and find something to do that will take her mind of things that will add to her growth, be it physically, mentally, or spiritually. Or even all of them. And ontop of that, she needs to block him EVERYWHERE!!!

Heartbreaking. I was in a similar situation. He had actually been dating his wife since high school and told me it was arranged. Turns out he also lied about his name amongst all the other bull. Calling him out and blocking him was the best thing I ever did. Thank you for sharing this story. Thank you Kally and Hodo for your kind words. I wish there was an account like this when I was going through this because I felt so ashamed.

I would say tell the wife because then the wife is going to be stuck in a marriage with a horrible man, when that wife and husband have kids the truth will eventually come out and it's just going to cause way more damage especially since the wife and husband have had kids and more time with each other. I believe she should tell the wife that way the wife can free herself from a disgusting unloyal man. Yes it will be extremely complicated but the wife does deserve the truth, if I were the wife I would want to know if I am wasting my time with a cheater.

This woman has been making the mistake of thinking she has been trying to get a good man to chose her. Really she has been trying to change a bad man into a good man. He has been manipulating and deceiving everyone around him. Even if he woke up tomorrow and decided he wanted her over the wife, she would be getting a man of horrible character. The only significant change you should be looking for in a person you are courting should be from uncommitted to committed.

My advice is, she should tell him since his Married then everything else doesn't matter. He made is bed so he should lay in it. You don't need a Man that played double games the fact that he married it means he made his choice. To the Sister, she is very lucky to see his real colours. She should block anything to do with him or anything around him. Keep your head high, and take it as a lesson that Men that are really religious do not to do prohibited stuff. You are also strong and keep moving.

Here's another take: If they truly feel something for each other, he should honor her (even if she's not muslim, as this is permitted for a muslim man to marry a non-muslim woman). His shadiness aside, he should call her father/family and ask for her hand and make her a second wife. Sure. it may not have been what this woman imagined or even what the woman he married in the arranged marriage might have imagined but it takes away the concept of sneaking around or secretly messaging the non-muslim woman. So in a sense, doing right by her means for him to make this non-muslim woman his second wife and to treat both women with the utmost respect and fairness. Just as the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) would have done. Otherwise, the man should leave this woman alone and she should not reduce herself to being someone he texts when he reminisces about their previous relationship. It can be that simple... Khalas.
