Just rebuilt one. Had to repair the roller inductor. Also replaced the shaft couplings. It works very nicely. I am 81 years old. Bob, W2OSR

The syringe idea for oiling is a great idea! I have a few old Heathkit stereo recievers a GR81 shortwave reciever that could use a bit of 10w30 synthetic oil.

Hi Bob, I have purchased a mint condition SA-2060 so I am enjoying the information. I would also like to add meter illumination so I'm looking forward to what you come up with for adding LEDs. Thanks for the videos. 73, Mike, KE5YTV

bob.... I found some led lamps there are flat like a piece of tape. They were used to illuminate back displays. got them from All electronics... about a buck a copy. I bet they would work great for those meters!

@@WECB640 todays radios are filled with LEDs… plus microprocessors. put a.01 cap across the LED.

@@WECB640 Incandescent lamps might just a well modulate from within the box, too. Palstar, LDG, MFJ, Ameritron all use LEDs in their antenna couplers. It would be an interesting test.

Hi. I hv a 2060a tuner with my sb1000 amp. I hv always tuned by making a chart for each band. Inductor first, followed by transmitter(c1) and antenna dials(c2). In the manual, it states to tune c1,2 to 100, for maximum capacitance, then tune the inductor?? Add to this, the sensitivity dial. It states, adjust as needed. How does this work?
