My pleasure! You double the weed control fabric to make sure that weed seeds brought by the wind, water, etc. can't root in your garden areas. It also lasts longer.

I am looking to cover our lawn with an alternative substance but was thinking of doing clover or creeping thyme. Why specifically do you not recommend clover?

I have a small section of my garden in clover, and it looks really nice when it's flowering. However, it doesn't maintain it's beauty throughout the warm season. As well, clover makes it very difficult to maintain garden beds because it creeps over everything with small vines and lots of seeds. If you aren't interested in flower beds, vegetable gardens, etc. clover is fine. It's also not very hardy against salt, but always comes back eventually.

They're called river rocks, which are from the size of walnuts to grapefruits.
