Very very nice! I really like the coin case within the case - it really gives it some class! Your designs have inspired me for my flags I need to make cases for. I have four of them for me personally and two for customers that asked if I could build one. I think it's neat that you being a military guy, you know what everything is, and how it should be displayed as well. Take care, keep on keeping on!

This is a beautiful piece. I like how you displayed the coins, it's a unique method. I have some myself and I too wanted to display them in my shadow box when I retire vs. having them separated but wasn't sure how I'd like to do it. Well if you ever go in the business of mail order I'd gladly send some business your way. Take care.

I did not charge her. I made if for free so I could make the video. It's a DIY channel. :-)

Hey brother I would like to make this for my shadow box. Do you have a rough supply list??? Heading out this weekend to get the supplies and start the work. Thank you for taking the time on this. I finally found your design and it is what I have wanted all along. Now I have to figure out how to incorporate both my branches of service into it.
@JONSDIY6 жыл бұрын
Marc, I will have to watch the video again to get you a supply list. I truly make these up as I go along so nothing is written down. Not sure if you noticed, but this one is dual as well. The right side is Army and the Left is Air force.

You do great work. I’ve been watching your shadow box videos hoping that one day I’ll be able to make a couple nice ones for me and the wife. How much are you charging?
@JONSDIY7 жыл бұрын
I do not do these for a living. Just for friends, so I usually only charge the cost of the materials.

Really nice work. I know you put what the customer wanted in the box… But This dude really wanted his CAC (ID Card) and restricted area badge in his box? He’s supposed to turn those in when he PCS/retires/separates because they are controlled items… Also he has a Security Forces Badge with overall rank (shown on the box made as an E-7? Security Forces are one the most deployed USAF AFSC’s… and coming from the Army??? As an E-7 He should have more decorations! Random patches sold in bulk from the BX? Somethings off here.

@@JONSDIY I’m building a SMSgt shadow box for an old troop of mine and I used your tutorials here to help along the way. I really appreciate it. For my glass, I decided to have a local glass company custom make a piece for me that’s 1/4” thick and tempered. I have to ship the box cross country and want it super durable. I had another quick question for you tho; why didn’t you polyurethane this shadow box and what is your opinion on doing it?
