Hi Brian, just discovered your channel yesterday and love listening to your trips! I occasionally dream about a road trip from London, my current home, to my hometown Istanbul (preferably in 718 Boxter just as yours!), very similar to your trip in fact. Although I don't have the means to execute this trip at the moment, seeing your videos, how much you enjoyed it, how remarkable they had been for you excites me and makes me very happy. If ever manage to pull the trip off you will be one of the reasons. Having been born & raised in Istanbul this particular video gave me chuckles as you detailed your memories and the pictures came up. Seems like you have been to most "vibrant" places in the city :))) Having been instructed to drive through narrow streets, sketchy areas by satnav is *very* common, even the locals are susceptible to it :) A motorhome is already peculiar in the city, couple it with foreign plates, right hand drive and in a deprived neighbourhood I can only imagine the attention and the curious glances. Happy to hear you had fun, looking forward for part 3!
