Come take a ride as we remix WTAE's popular route video covering the Jerome Lexington Ave line we add layers of history and engineering to more information on the sites and setups of our underground world.
This video covers the Interborough
Contract 3 Route 5 and 43 (1918) along with Section 1-3 of the IRT contract 1 Manhattan Mainline (1904) Section 1 of 1905's Contract 2 is also included.
Datapoint's added in video.

How to read the Visual HUD.
Breakdown
1. Visual Signal Block (VSB): Shows the current status of the signal block that the train is in.
2. Current Track: This section, located to the right of the VSB, displays the track that the train is currently on.
3. Construction and Build Information: This section displays details about the build contract and section of the line during construction, including the month and year the station and line opened. Most of our system falls under the Dual Contracts new construction or rebuild, Original IRT, or IND routes.
4. Survey and Chaining Information: This section displays the distance along the subway route and line, using a technique called chaining to accurately indicate positions. A chain is 100 feet in distance, and the distance from chain-zero or the fixed point is displayed as a number followed by two zeros. The line below indicates the location of chain-zero, which is 38th and Park.
5. The Chain Box: Displays the letter of the signal chain (e.g., P for IRT or D2 for BMT or IND).
6. Speed Limit: Displays the speed limit for that section of track if posted. If there is no posted speed, Maximum Allowed Speed (MAS) may be displayed.
7. Neighborhood: Displays the neighborhood the train is currently in.
8. Gradient (Grade/Slope): Displays the incline or decline of the line in percentage.
