Wow, I recognized that Lancaster of the Belk's and B.C. More's Department Stores uptown, the bakery, where, as kids, my sister, brothers and I stopped by most Saturdays to pick up sweets to take into the Hyatt's Cinema Matinee. A time when Main Street Lancaster was busy with Saturday morning shoppers and neighbors congregating, changing smiles and stories of the day. The Dairy Mart dip ice-cream cones deliciously dripping on hot Southern days. Thank you all who put together this wonderful video of Lancaster SC Memories.

So many memories refreshed! Thanks. From G. Hunter Born at Springdale on the "mill hill" in 1940. No matter where I have traveled, Lancaster has always been and always will be "home."

My mother was born in 1938 on that same hill - 12th Street. It was always home to her - the glory days of Lancaster it seems.
