This is Part 2 of our ride in Santa Barbara. Oli was so tired with Cold Springs and Tunnel so he called it a day. It was only me and Chris so we decided to go up and hit Tunnel again. This time Chris had my GoPro and followed me down. The 2nd lap was way better for me, we hit it at a better speed and I was able to ride more confident leading and choosing my own lines instead trying to take Chris's gangster lines.
This is my favorite trail, it's probably the gnarliest trail I have ever ridden. It has everything, its chunky, steep, tech, flowy, drops and you have to pick your lines. Best part is its a shuttle so no climbing required. The top of the trail starts at 3,459 ft elevation. The trail is 6.3 miles long, 2,652 ft of descent, average grade is -13.6%. The gnarly rock garden "Little Tunnel" is 0.2 mi, -20.3% average grade.
Video doesn't do this trail justice it is a legit double black diamond and I highly recommend expert riders only. Hit Cold Springs first and if its too hard than don't even try Tunnel. Also the guys that are taking care of the trails is SAGE Trail Alliance, if you ride these trails it would be awesome if you can go on their website and donate, they do a lot of work. The money helps them buy tools. Link to their website www.sagetrail.org
