It looks like you take great pride in your work. The finished product looks good. One bit of advice from a plumber with 37 years experience, the hottest part of the flame on your torch is the dark blue (inside) flame. Put the tip of the dark blue part of the flame directly on the fitting and it will melt the solder much faster. If you use the outside edge of the flame, it takes much longer.

Hey man! Great videos I have been watching for about a year here and there you have great attention to detail. A couple of tips I would like to add on the soldering. Not my show just a tip to you or anyone who may benefit. get a small piece of sheet metal and put it over the wall when you sweat the pipe and it will protect the wall from burning. Make it pretty big maybe 13x13 inches and it will fit pretty well between stud bays. Attach a wood handle and you can move it around without having to worry about the heat. Also you don't have to move around the pipe with the solder. After you flux use a thin solder and hold it on top of the pipe (Still heat all around the pipe with the torch) and it will wick in all the way around. Test it out I think you will be surprised. Thank you for the great videos!!!

Splendide craftsmanship. Rarely saw somebody shiming before soledring.

Nice! Thanks for sharing! I'm not very good at sweating, unless i'm behind a Drum Kit, but I think I might be able to thanks to you. Thanks again for your help!

Tanks. Exactly what i needed to know . Nice video production to . Especially removing the valve regulator inside part ( rubber ) before welding .

Why is the diverter offset deeper in the wall? At least that's what it looks like with your cooper offset . I thought it would be a straight piece of copper from diverter to main valve as there both 2.75" to the finished wall?

Trying to make sure I get the proper depth for the valve. Did you use 1/2 inch concrete board on this project? Thank you for your time, great videos!

I wish my plumber paid this much attention to detail!! I paid 6K for a remodel and had to pay about half more to have it fixed!!!

then you might be dead....there should never be a water and an electrical drop within 6 feet of eachother...... and absolutely never in the same stud gap

We bought the Moen T8343 shower system and the installer couldn't get it to work (the water comes out from shower, hand shower and spout). I think the reason is he did not remove the valve cartridge before welding :( . I will try to show him this video, meanwhile, I think we need to order that part from Moen... Thanks for the video!

hey! Very useful tutorial. However, I encourage you to wear eye-protectors when you are doing the job...

Who cares if he wears eye-protection. Have you ever done this before? Stop telling people what to do.

I wouldn't let you touch my plumb. I would tell my daughter how to do it first. It's people like you making us look bad. You do your own electrical work too?
@charles-ih7zp4 жыл бұрын
Then going back to video he stops soldering on the wood. He might not think it's a bug deal but if it was my house he would be fired and if flooring has burn mark he would be replacing it too out of his pockets. Stop being lazy do the job right.
@charles-ih7zp4 жыл бұрын
He's okay but being lazy is how it turns out bad. Use a small level instead of eyeing it. Good enough is not good enough for me. Do the job right the first time use proper tools. Also flame cloth to protect the wood would be good.

Two words...... plumbing codes..... Are you trying to electrocute yourself.... or worse, a customer...... You should never, Ever have water plumbing and electrical in the same stud gap....... You could have went to the left side and been halfway safe...... Epic fail..... This is what, not to do.......

at least block it off around the switch box to isolate it once the wall is enclosed
