Tamera is so well spoken. She did a great job addressing the ACTUAL issues going on in this world. The fact that these violent acts of evil keep occurring with no active change is sick. Perhaps if we all unite and spread more love and awareness, we will see the positive change this country needs. Sending love to everyone affected.

I was with her until she started going on about mental health issues. I feel like everytime ppl talk about mental health after a mass shooting it further isolates ppl cause it disturbingly connects ppl with mental health issues and murder. Most ppl that have a mental health problem are not one step away from committing a mass shooting. Especially when you consider there are so many mental health conditions each with unique symptoms. Talk like this will only further isolate those that do have a problem and stops them from admitting it for fear of how they'll be treated. If you're gonna blame this tragedy on anything call it what it is - HATRED and EVIL. I'm not saying NO ppl with mental health issues have ever committed mass shootings. I just have a real problem that mental health only ever gets talked about when another mass shooting happens.

Grief is love with nowhere to go... so I’m grieving hard because I LOVED that kid very very much. Grieve as you wish as long as you wish and know I’m standing with you. Let’s try to keep our hearts in a place of empathy and not divisiveness. “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” ... one of the most important commandments in the Bible and yet so many ppl choose to completely dismiss it. We are all on a journey and we should all be looking for ways to advocate against those who are treated unjustly. No one has all the answers/solutions so stop judging and bringing up how it shouldn’t take this for her to be more vocal regarding gun violence. We are all called to this fight... some are there to ring the alarm, some to pray in the midnight hour, some to be on the front line... it’s not anyone’s place to say how someone is or isn’t advocating for change. It’s between that person and God! Let’s all ask ourselves what have WE done and what can WE do instead of pointing a finger! Let’s pray that God deposits solutions in our heart and in the heart of ppl that hold positions of power. Remember our words do give life and that also includes the comment sections of KZbin!

I think about the parents of Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford who are now grieving and planning his funeral. He was 21-years-old and a Soldier in the U.S. Army killed by Hoover police in Birmingham, Alabama on Thanksgiving day. After killing him they wrongfully identified him as the shooter in the Mall and did not even have the courtesy or empathy to notify his parents of what happened after killing their child by mistake until the next day after the parents had made multiple calls to the Hoover police station. Yes, I agree this Country is divided and that is sad, but what is more devastating to a parent after losing their child this way is when it is a young person of color particularly young African American males there is no empathy or compassion for the parents and family or for the child whose life was cut short. People are angry at the protestors instead of wanting answers from the police of how they mistakenly shot this young man who was not even the person they accused him of being. What if this were their child wrongfully gun down by the police. The only way things will start to change is when people stop deciding their empathy towards lives lost based on the color of a person's skin when they are wrongfully dying at the hands of gun violence/police shootings and start seeing people as people.

It's so sad how people don't start caring or want change til it hit home. It shouldn't have to take the person you love or care for to die from gun violence to go knock on the White House Door. When many shootings and massacre's have been happening at an alarming/ rapid rate all over the United States for the last 20 yrs.
@simonsays17375 жыл бұрын
It’s so sad to say but but this will happen again there have been 307 mass shootings in under a year and every time people say we need change it never ends up happening and the cycle continues. It is sick that this happens, no country in the world has had this many reoccurring mass shootings as the US does and it’s really crazy how people don’t see the issue. In places like the UK guns are not allowed even for police and they have significantly less loss of life. This country is truly sick, we need change.
