Well I just wanna say first off.. Jeannie , Adrienne ' & Loni !!! You ladies are literally the epitome of professionalism & TRUE friendship ! You held it down for Tam harder than I ever seen before ! I appreciate you ladies bringing light to this situation ! This was really important and much needed conversation ! And hopefully it opens the door to conversations to make a nationwide reforms and stricter policies on gun control in this country ! It needs to happen and quickly ! We can't keep having this happen ! 💕

Myronn Coleman gun control would not have prevented this. the weapon was legally acquired. Not saying it won't help. It will. But essentially the society as a whole has to change. the attitude to guns and death has to change.The adulation of veterans has to change. the abandonment of veterans with mental issues has to end. The "look the other way" culture has to end. The violence in video games and movies/tv shows has to end. The ease with which people can access information about guns and bombs has to end. The isolation of young people has to end.. The unhealthy family dynamics has to end. Social services needs to do a better job of counselling isolated youth and veterans. it has to be a holistic approach otherwise it won't work. there is a canker within American society as a whole

Anderson Cooper started doing this back in 2012 shortly after the Aurora movie theater shooting. Around the time of the release of _The Dark Knight Rises_ (which promotion had to be postponed in the wake of the shooting.) he traveled to Colorado, one of the victims' loved ones remarked to him as Anderson asked what can they (the media) do and they responded by saying honor those who were slain and not to say the shooter's name because it brings on publicity and it overshadows the ones that were killed.

Yeah me too. Loni blatantly said the man we won't name. And I was like yes loni never name the shooter coz then all the atte tion shift to him. People try to i find out about him and then sympathize with him. And victims become secondary part of the whole thing.

Spoke to a Criminal psychologist who says it does more damage to mention their names. These lunatics are sometimes willing to die to become " famous", which they know will happen if they commit a crime like this. We psychologically do a lot of bad when we focus on the killer and not the victims. Many of these killers are rejected "nobodies", and feel like if they commit a crime like this they will die "famous" and everyone will know who they are and what their "message" was. Let's not give them the satisfaction. (Btw, I'm not saying that was the motivation of THIS shooter, but it is a common motive)

I live in the more dangerous state of Mexico. I live in Los Mochis, Sinaloa. I seen so many things happen. But you know what? I never had any access to guns. I know here live bad people too. But you know whats the difference? This people know that innocent people should never be put in risk. They have never tried to put us in danger just for an act of “revenge” or hate. We respect each other. I live in a country where is illegal to have guns. If you see someone has a gun, you know something is wrong and you have the chance to see the red flags before anything happens. But what I want to say to all of you is that I live in the most dangerous state of Mexico but I do NOT live in fear. I hope you never forget that things can change. I send you all my love and prayers, Never lose hope.
@aa08215 жыл бұрын
You do not live in fear?? Yet the cartel has all the guns and terrorize towns with these same guns that you and your family dont have access to and cannot use to defend yourselves. What a joke and what a poor argument. Mexico is the reason and the perfect example why we don't want guns banned in the US.
@mlgamez75715 жыл бұрын
@@aa0821 The difference is that in Mexico if you don't mess with the cartel, they don't mess with you. In the United States INNOCENT people die because the government does not want to take action and makes poor excuses against the shooters like "Oh they had PTSD". We are not asking for guns to be banned. We're asking for control. There is no reason why a person with PTSD, who can be a danger to himself and especially to other people should have a gun.

As an Australian. I’m so glad my country decided to place stricter gun laws after we had a mass shooting in 1996. Every time i hear a mass shooting has unfolded in the USA. I and most of the country feel angry and saddened that this continues to be an issue for Americans. Gun control is NOT TAKING AWAY YOUR GUNS!!! It’s Inforcing stricter rules so people like the man who did this horrible crime doesn’t get hold of them. It’s honestly not that hard!! Who cares about the second amendment. Just get this job done and I swear u will see change.

The legal definition of a mass shooting is three or more homicide victims there have been 39 of those. Actual shootings where there are more then 3 people injured or worse, including gang shootings, domestic, etc is 307. That doesn’t include the single or one of shootings. All of these numbers are FAR to high. Something needs to be done.
@BogusBozo5 жыл бұрын
No offense and do NOT take this the wrong way but when there's other shooting incidents they don't talk about it. For example if a cop killed himself in milkwaulkee they don't talk about it but if they found out that it was Adrienne's uncle who was the cop they would talk about it.

Well of course they are going to talk about this more because it's more personal to them, one of the hosts neice was the victim. They are just being there for Tamera. I understand exactly what you’re saying. Don’t be offended by those who aren’t capable of perceiving your message. Trust me, I get it. You’re absolutely right. It is a little disturbing to see that topics like this only gets the attention it needs when it hits close to home. Just cause the tragedy isn’t directly affecting you doesn’t make it any LESS of a problem! That’s what people have to understand. They have a platform that reaches millions, that’s the point people are trying to make. It’s not being rude. It’s being empathetic to the tragedies continually happening & discussing them so we can bring about positive change even if we weren’t directly affected. It shouldn’t take these things happening to us for us to finally care.

However, I understand why people are giving so much hate to the Housely’s because Adam has said some horrible things about Trayvon Martin and has praised his killer plus Tamera has never spoken about gun control before. I just think you never really understand until you’re in someone’s shoes so hopefully this event will change their minds about Trayvon Martin and about gun control because it’s selfish to only care when it affects you. When I broke this story to my older brother he said to me "Oh, another shooting in not surprised by it" and that really put into perspective how immune we are with mass shootings. I mean this has been going on for almost decades now, and it will only get worse as they years go on. NOW is the time for action people! Using your voice is not enough anymore we need to do something about this....and fast. And I know not many people want to hear this but we need'a get rid of all Guns (and not just get rid of them but dispose of all Guns in the world). Because even if you put that law into place people somewhere else will still have or want guns...so you need to check any and everyone who has license for guns or knows of someone who's licensed; and permanently dispose of them unless you are an "Active Authorized Personnel". Because I tried to be optimistic about keeping guns around but In The End it comes down to the Question of: how many people have to die before something is truly done? Because you can debate, blame, protest, blast, or whatever you have to do to get your point across but in the end nothing is truly being done to stop it. You can blame the shooter for being a cold heartless killer or you can blame mental illness for causing the shooter to do what they did or you can even blame the gun for existing at all but in the End we are the ones who are dying. Now this is just my opinion *keep the things I've said in mind*. Also which one can you outrun faster a bullet or a knife? These are the questions you should ask when you go to school or when you go to a special event or when you go to your favorite religious place. Edit: Oh, I almost forgot to say that we should still be focused on mental health issues. Because that's also a big problem we have. But we can't just go around calling everyone with mental illness mass shooters and we certainly can't lock everyone up with mental illness because thousands of people deal with mental illness. What I proposed we do is have people test three times year (beginning middle and end of the year). Where everyone will be evaluated for mental illness before they get a job or go to school/college three time a year (like a vaccination). And anyone who is deemed with any type of mental illness should seek some type of counseling (even if it's once a year).

In Sweden its illegal to have guns, I don't even think we have gun-shops... I've never seen or heard of one, not even for hunting (which should be illegal too). Guns should be for the military only, in England the police didn't even have guns until just recently (guns represents war and death nothing else). If they ban guns they only need to keep look out at boarders which will be easier with the wall (actually)... then Mexico need to fix their crimes with a better government. As far as I know Canada has laws for ownership of a gun such as restricted possession and acquisition licence. They need to make a change even if the changes seem irrational in this moment, it's now we're talking about human life's here!

To Tamera, and anyone who this applies to: “As you continue walking according to God’s will, word and way [...] when people speak against you, God will deal with them because he is our vindicator.”- Dr. Kennetra A Bryant, Watch Your Mouth bible app

I watched Tamera's interview with Aden and Alaina's dad Arik on 'CBS This Morning' where he was talking about having to bury her in 4 days and I lost it. What a tragedy that this beautiful 18 year old just want to have a fun Wednesday night and lost her life.

Political control of the elite. This was in no way going on before in this magnitude. There must be respect for whoever is in power because ultimately God is in control. The music and movie industry need to understand the material they put to the public affects people. It's obvious. You can't have your cake and eat it too, the old school understood this well. What you feed society and what we choose to accept as "good" as society is exactly what we will become. Taking God out of daily life is the breakdown of moral and spiritual society. We will always need to hav respect and love for our maker if we are to truly love and respect each other. Last days warnings of Jesus!" Woe unto those who call evil,good and good evil" It finally hit someone in the industry so it's getting the recognition but America has to wake up to life,love, God/Jesus and eternal life. Life is temporary here in this realm for a reason but we do cross over.. it's not about vanity as the world promotes. Life is about personal relationship with God through Jesus/ God's Saving Grace and through Belief in His Son, love your neighbor as yourself and forgiveness!

anokha baptiste yesssss! keep preaching!!! 💘✝️🙏🏽 Jesus is returning! It’s time to wake up & get serious! We need to be in constant prayer, this is spiritual warfare! People keep saying why do these things keep happening? ➡️➡️➡️ Ephesians 6:12 it’s time to get serious! The Devil is out here running wild cause he knows his time is limited, Jesus is coming soon🙌🏽

Not true because they showed the Vegas shooter and he was white.
@kessa97555 жыл бұрын
You're missing the point. They refused to mention his name because to them, he's not even worth mentioning
@crystalmarks27355 жыл бұрын
The mentioned the name of the white Vegas shooter though is what I'm saying. So I don't think they weren't mentioning the shooter this time because of race, they didn't mention the name because a lot of times these shooters want to be famous for what they did and set records, so I believe that's why his name wasn't mentioned. There's been many times that they don't mention the shooters name for that same reason.
