I've never seen so much Hurst accessories in one place. When I was about 12 I would ride my Pea picker by Gapp & Roush to look, listen to the cars. Then I would go to Gratiot Hi-Po supply and shift the Hurst shifter display, and get some free stickers. Well no free stuff, anymore and I don't ride a Sting ray bike 20miles a day either, Thank you for great videos

I have a 69 Cougar with a 351w. Made it look like an eliminator replica, lucky enough to have won a few shows. Dennis said parts are hard to find, probably so for a 390 but West Coast Classic Cougars has been great to me while I was doing my restoration. Found everything I needed. Just wanted to share that, would love to see more old cougars restored. Especially if it’s a rare find like that S code.

I owned a '73 Firebird in the same orange as the Formula 455 at 19:02. Blew up the 350 2bbl and replaced it with a 428 from a '69 Safari wagon. What I didn't know at the time was that the bolt pattern on the block was different, so a friend that was a welder fabricated solid motor mounts for it. Second hard lesson on the car was, "Never put too much cam in it and think that the stock press-in rocker studs are going to be OK. It was a pushrod bender.

First of all; I really like your channel. Personally I think the principle of a car being ridiculously valuable with ultra low mileage is the worst thing ever. In this collection there are cars that has been trailered home from the dealer, and never used. That is just sad😢😢. If a car I so valuable that you can't drive it, I would argue it has no value at all (as a car).

Those shifter displays were quite the thing. I played with one at Vic Hubbard in Hayward Ca. and then bought a competion plus for my 66 vette. Now i wish i had that car still, and I'm pretty sure that shifter would be just as tight as it was when installed!! Quality Parts that lasted and made the manufactured stock parts feel like junk! Never could stand the rattling shifter in my 69 396, but never changed it, just sold it.( the car that is). Also Linda Vaughn might have influenced me in buying the products also 😍

Hello Dennis , I was watching your video this morning it was kind of neat to watch your part two video today .Wayne brought up a name of a gentleman I know here in Pennsylvania Brian Henderson, and his partner Joe Swezey . I met Joe at the convention center in Pittsburgh ,PA when they had a rare Camaro color (Burnished Brown)and I told him my father was painting a 67 Chevelle, a rare color which is one year only color that was Royal Plum. He ordered one new from “Chevy Heaven” in Ohio. (Still have dad’s original order sheet from his 67 )and was trying to find the right-Royal Plum color . Joe turned me onto a gentleman named Frank Arone in Indiana ,PA who was painting a 67 Camaro that identical color and was able to camera match the original paint so he sold us the paint for my dad Chevelle. I was only four or five years old when my dad sold the 67 car and I don’t remember the color so I begged him to paint this 67 this color and I am not disappointed.. I believe Frank Arone still does Brian and Joe’s painting of these COPO’s and Yenko’s that Brian and Joe restore. Just made a comment because that gentleman said 68 had rare colors but 67 also had one year only colors.

Love seeing all the muscle cars from the 60's and 70's that I grew up with as I started driving in 1972. The neighbor girl across the street bought a 1970 LS6 Chevelle new and some of the guys she hung around with had 1969 Judge GTO's one orange and the other blue. Her dad made her get rid of it after she blew it up for the second time missing shifts with the M-22 rock crusher and yes it was a real M22.

Blue Fast Track Nova: I grew up 1 block away from that Nova! Jim Cordia Chevrolet in Clymer, NY. Jim was always messing around with it for speed. Most of the interior was removed to save weight. At one point, the headers where split into 2 exhaust systems each, so it had 4 exhaust pipes and 4 mufflers. One day when I saw it, he put a tunnel ram with dual 4-barrel carbs on it from a speed boat just to see what it would do. I don't think it was on it very long. Most of the cars he sold were ordered for local people. Rarely did he have one on the lot just for inventory. In the early 80s, he had a Blazer with the 6.2L Diesel in it. He put the Banks turbo and other stuff on it. It was fast!

I grew up in the 70's and cars like these were in the high school parking lot and cruising Main street every Saturday night. Gotta admit it makes me sick to see them nowadays just sitting in some rich guy's collection and not being enjoyed the way they were intended. These cars were built to be driven at high rates of speed from stoplight to stoplight. Now they're just investments. Just museum pieces to look at. People who would actually enjoy them every weekend can't afford them. Oh well. Just my luck being an every day working stiff who can now only look at cars that we bought and sold for a grand or two back in the day.

Same boat here. These cars were the everyday drivers back in the day, and tore the streets up on the weekends. Junkyards had plenty of parts, so we could keep them rolling. It's insane what they're bringing now.

In 1973, I was 14 years old. Every Saturday morning my mom would drive me to Sterling Colorado to go to Lutheran catechism class. Many weeks after class, we would stop by the Kawasaki dealer, Foxy Motors, on our way home. I would buy parts for my Kawasaki 175 or pick up the latest brochure. I remember how cool it was seeing the new 1973 Z1-900 for the first time in person on the small showroom floor. It was my dream to have that bike when I turned 16. Weeks later, it was gone and the salesman, Don Tripp, told me it was bought by the local Dodge Plymouth dealer, Ray Smith Motors for his grandson. Fast forward 45 years, and I see the Z1-900 on e-bay, I bid on it and get it. When I contacted the seller, Steve Armstrong, I asked him the back story on how long he had had it. He said his grandpa, Ray Smith, had bought it for him in 1973. Even more bizarre, is when Steve told me his ex-wife may still have the original exhaust pipes and she lives in Ft. Morgan and only a few blocks from me. I told her I was wanting to purchase the original exhaust pipes that Stave had left in the garage. She informed me that she had thrown his "junk" away! It is a original survivor with only 8500 miles on it.
