Bought it with 36,000 miles on the clock in magnificent condition. When offered double the money it got sold pretty quickly. That is the ONLY other Dodge 100 all loaded up in this color of the same year I’ve ever seen. What a great find. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

I had a 1975 Dodge d 100 with a factory-installed 440 4-barrel h code 375 hp with a full dashboard instrumentation from a larger two and a half ton Dodge truck. Twelve were special ordered by John Deere corporation and sold to their top dealers for personal. Dodge dealers claimed this truck did not exist when I would take it in for service or parts.

They never had the 375 hp 440 in 1975,in 1972-up the engines were weaker, different cam, different crank, different heads totally different they moved like a 1969 383 TWO barrel...They still moved real good but not the high performance 440's of 71 and older... Also they never put the high performance 440 in trucks, they had a 440 4bbl and 440 high performance 4bbl from 66-78..the 66-71 being the powerhouses! 375 hp 440 were actually over 410 hp they had to lie about the power due to higher insurance rates back then for more power/more you paid.Torque was over 500 (480 rated for pre 71)as thats what made 440's so tough, gobs of torque at 2400 rpm! Pre 71 440's had more power and it wasnt just due from going from gross to net..440's like all Chrysler engines were changed! Different heads, cam, crank, lower compression engines were totally changed!

@@01trsmarthe truck was no unicorn it was genuine factory built truck. The 1975 375 horse 440 D100 were a special order built for the John Deere corporation the were sold only to the top 20 or so John Deere dealers and executives in the for their owners personal use they were never for sale to the general public the exact number built is unknown. They do not appear in the normal build statistics for a 1975 Dodge trucks they were a special fleet order sort of like Chevrolet COPO cars. I bought the truck from the original John Deere dealer in Mount Vernon Washington in 1982 I had all the paperwork including the build sheet and order form from John Deere. John Deere had special vehicles built for its top dealers for a number of years by different manufacturers. In 1963 John Deere had special built a small number of supercharged 4-speed Studebaker pickup trucks just like the Dodge they were painted white with John Deere green stripes. I should have kept that truck in The mid-1980s it was faster than a new Corvette it is possible the H code motors were leftover service replacement 1970 375HP 440s . All the experts didn't believe this truck existed until they saw it. Unfortunately I sold it to a friend planning to do a full restoration and he totaled it.

It was a 1978 CJ-7 Golden Eagle in dark green, auto trans, V8, power steering but not power brakes, and the locking mechanism was electric, with the switch in the glove box. Bought it off the dealer's showroom floor. It was great.

Hey Dennis the “pre-ram” dodge trucks were D or W series (D100, 200, etc or W100 etc.) The D series were 2 wheel drive trucks. Like the little red express (or warlocks). The W series trucks were 4 wheel drive trucks. Like the Power wagons (or Machos). Edit; If you’re looking for a “holy grail” dodge truck (pre-Ram) try to find an original long bed step-side w series truck power wagon (good luck 😃).
