I just started a job over a month ago, as an Electrical Apprenticeship Advisor and I recently took a WAH class (working on heights course). I have to have knowledge of the safety rules when I go visit my apprentices on-site when I have to do an evaluation. What I learned is that education and training are very important and when you don't feel right, say so and if you see something that is wrong, report it right away to your Superior. Take your time when you are doing your pre-inspection. It takes a split second to cause or have a life-altering injury or even worse, death. If you are given a job to do where you have not been trained, speak up.

My ex husband is an amputee. His left leg and right foot. He was having a hard time dealing with it.He didn't want to get prosthetics or go to rehab. He wanted to sit in that wheel chair feeling sorry for his self. I know he was having a lot of depression but he refused to tell our doctor. Even though we were divorced, I still took care of him. We were together for 30 years, so I didn't have a problem doing everything for him that he couldn't do. But I couldn't get him to get back to his life. So I sent him a link to one of your videos. And , like I did, he had to watch more. So he binge watched your videos with me. He said that he now feels like he was being (in his words) a 'big ass baby'. We talked about a lot of things that day.And he decided enough was enough. He got fitted for prosthetics and will start rehab this month. He talked to our doctor about his depression and anxiety and got an appointment to see a therapist.And he is starting to do a lot of things for himself. He said that if someone so young could go through everything you did and not give up, then he should at least try. You both are a huge inspiration to us. You have so much hope to offer people who think their life is over because of amputation or other life altering injury. I know you have brought a lot of hope and change in my ex husband. And I thought that was impossible. I admire you both and wish you love, happiness and good health. You deserve it.

Your post made me cry. I may not have any physical amputations that can be seen but I know I have unseen handicaps. The Bible says "Do not break your child's spirit." I was terribly abused as a child. Some horrible things done to me by my father, grandfather, plus my mother ostracized me... I rather not go into the details but I grew up with a broken spirit. I went through life not being able to function like a "normal" person should. A person who looks physically normal on the outside but terribly crippled on the inside. Depression set in at a very young age and I'm sure my personality development was warped within that depression. I was always sad. I knew nothing different. Highly dysfunctional, mentally, emotionally handicapped. I learned to cope by staying silent. I didn't trust my voice would be heard so I never spoke out.... (society called me shy), but I was forced to stay hiden in a pit I could never get out of as a child. I grew up, got away from the abuse, turned my life over to God and He created in me a new spirit. God did heal my heart. I'm confident He healed most of my hidden wounds. I forgave the abusers. Most have all died but I don't have to concern myself with any of them. I'm not perfect. I know I still have awkward moments when I try to hide from social gatherings. But I'm not tormented anymore when I get triggered. I love to quote the Bible under my breathe to get past those awkward moments. God keeps me strong. I feel His love for me, I know I'm safe now and I can function with a more level head. I thank the good Lord for his mercy. He's been good to me. Amen! ❤🕊❤

It is so beautiful. She’s so selfless. I say this with no ill will intended. Of course our hearts do and forever will go out to him. Hes BEYOND a fighter and we can’t help but to cheer him on. It’s easy to worry for & show genuine compassion for him. However, it’s Sabia i often worry about. She’s so young to have so much responsibility. She is damn good at it. She’s a natural healer. She’s obviously very intelligent. She would be an asset in the medical field. She’s compassionate, intelligent and beautiful both inside & out. Yes, they’re in love & love can move mountains. It already has. I’m sure his recovery has sped up & been made easier by having her by his side to both love & care for him. She is the definition of strength. Still, she’s so young. She’s sacrificed so much. Not for just now, but for the rest of her life. (I’m noticing her hoodie that says “virginity rocks”) While that’s certainly not everything…it’s definitely something. That’s just one of the sacrifice to commit to at such a young age. They are indeed a lovely couple. I just hope people realize she needs support … just as much support as he does. Even the mightiest of mountains can avalanche. The strongest of people can crash, too. It’s not the end…If there are those around to hold you up again. Best wishes to both❤

I have to say that she is absolutely amazing for sticking by you and continuing to be supportive. I know someone that became a quadriplegic about a day or so after he proposed to his girlfriend. She said yes before he had his accident. After only about a year she was nowhere to be found. It takes someone special to actually understand and live by the words “for better or worse”. Got into a big motorcycle crash. Would have died without the helmet. Could have died with it. Broke my two lower bones in my leg, fractured two spinal bones, had a degloving head wound, road rash, etc. Every time I see you or someone like you, I realize how much heart and perseverance it takes to get through everything. My dad is a retired cop who would run marathons...he has post polio syndrome and is paralyzed from the waist down....he is thankful though that he proved all the doctors wrong who said he'd be in a wheelchair..he went on to be a Baltimore City cop..you also proved doctors wrong! Doctors will usually give the bleakest probable outcome so as not to give any false hopes or exaggerated outcomes...if the patient does NOTHING towards advancement in their recovery. They are always hopeful that the patient will apply and commit themselves to deal with or overcome any limitations. Much depends on the will of the patient. The phrase: "Proving them wrong" sounds like the doctor(s) 'expect' or presume the patient will fail no matter what, which to me, would be an unfair assessment of any doctor's objective for healing.

My grandfather was a one arm man but he only had a nub. He did a lot of stuff on his own but he needed help to shower and cut up his food. He had a little farm. He fed the horses and pigs. I miss him but I remember how independent he was. You remind me of him. You're a strong young man. Yur lucky to have a good woman by yur side. My grandfather had a good woman too. My grandmother. Like, he did the mosh pit thing and just some other fun stuff that he could still do... Comic relief... Just really fun stuff, and I thought a freak show would be a lot of fun for him to participate in! What if he found himself a Top Hat, and a snazzy jacket, and came up with an ACT for a freak show? What strikes me about Loren is how young he was when the accident happened, and how much of his life he's got left in him, and ALSO how funny he is, and what a sense of humor! I think he'd be a HIT at a freak show, especially with a hot, young, beautiful assistant as Sabia at his side. I don't know what kind of an act they could come up with... I would hate for him to risk any injuries or anything, but if he came up with a couple cute outfits, and an act, I think they could be a HIT! The troupe who came to Flagstaff was called Hellzapoppin. Lots and lots of talent! Creativity! And I just think it's something they could think about... People like Loren and Sabia, they already have a lot of local notoriety. Hellzapoppin mostly tours around the east coast, but they do have a show coming up this summer in Wisconsin, and in South Dakota, which...I dunno, they could go to those, and meet those guys, and see what they say... Come up with an act and audition... They wouldn't have to be involved in the entire national tour, but if the tour comes close to Montana somewhere, they could be Special guests in the show, a couple shows a year or something... 🤷‍♀️🤔 I'm not calling the guy a "freak" or anything, but if he could come up with an act he could do with him and his girlfriend, just for a couple shows a year, when the tour comes their way, I just think it would be a fun creative outlet, and something fun for a couple in their 20s to do. Something safe, where they can exploit their established and growing fan base, and as a man, it would give him something to work towards and maybe even profit from, just a couple times a year! I dunno... It's just an idea.. I really enjoy a freak show.

I totally understand everyone saying Sabia is an angel, and how lucky Loren is, to have Sabia. It’s true. 🙏🏻 I’m always mindful to say how equally lucky, Sabia is to have her wonderful hubby. ♥️ If you see the horror story at the beginning, of what they went through, you can see Sabia’s worst fears, were to lose Loren. This is true love and they both have so much to teach the world. Loren’s strength and spirit is more than I have ever seen. The strength it’s took for him to come out of his accident, is nothing short of a miracle. I have a genetic condition, which has caused me to have recurrent sepsis, not be able to eat, organ failure, I’m fed intravenously. I am in full intestinal failure so have have an ileostomy, similar to Loren’s colostomy. My joints dislocate constantly, so my joints need put back in, roughly every hour, hips, knees, ankle, shoulder, sometimes all at once. As with Sabia, my husband spent a while (9 and a half months for us) in hospital with me, learning to do all my complex care. I’m nil by mouth, even medications, so he had to learn how to do all the injections, or IV’s, and be able to do this safely. He has been in the position multiple times, being told I’m not going to pull through, and I’ve seen it almost break him. He is amazing, just like Sabia. Without him, I couldn’t stay at home, for our boys. There’s not one day, when I’m not told how amazing he is, and he is. When I’m in hospital, which is a lot, nurses and Drs marvel at his diligent care and his incredible positive attitude. The way he’s went from driving Class one’s to getting all these nursing competencies. He is liked by everyone, and while in hospital, he does anything to help them, and patients and staff, can’t praise him enough. It’s all true, but by the 100th time of hearing how lucky I am, I started to feel not good enough. It makes me feel a burden, which I am. I know nobody means to make me or anyone who needs care, feel inferior. I just wanted to recognise how equally amazing Loren is, as well as his beautiful wife, Sabia. Loren is proof that miracles do happen, and Sabia shows us, that love conquers all 🙏🏻♥️🌈

I have 2 children that I love with every fiber of my being yet there are still days where I'm tired, short patienced or overwhelmed. Sabia is human. She's going to get days like that. Not only caring for Loren but just other things she may be going through with herself/family/friends. It's normal. I don't understand why people feel the need to post that she looks sad or depressed, needs meds or even question her love for Loren. We all get tired sometimes.

You are so right Linda. They are a couple with great qualities for their young age. It’s very inspiring to see them evolve on a daily basis. There is no doubt in my mind that they will come out grown up of this journey. Loren is very strong mentally and every time I am blown away to see how humble he is. The perfect description of Sabia? She is an 🤩 AMAZING woman. Their 💕 LOVE and mutual respect overwhelms me when I watch each video. If I was a millionaire or a TV producer, I would give them their own TV show. Every human being on this planet should be inspired by their beautiful way of facing the every aspects. People would benefit from seeing this gorgeous couple on screen. We all tend to rely on our little misfortunes when we should rather do like Loren and Sabia who have overcome their fears and their limits in order to face them all the situations TOGETHER. I’m so proud of them and I don’t know them personally. So I can imagine the pride of their families and friends. I keep my fingers 🤞crossed and I pray🙏🏼 that their future will be the easiest and the best but above all that I hope they will stay together ♾ 4ever 🥰
