PART 21 - HT Leads - How to Build a CB Performance 2017cc Builder’s Choice VW Engine

This is a quick vid (for me) where I'm installing the HT leads and roughing in the static timing as best I can. The coil lead needed to be cut to length and the terminal connector installed. Which would have been a lot easier if I had the right tools.
NOTE: I had to re-edit this video and upload again. You'll see why. Unfortunately I have lost the comments that were posted on the previous incarnation. Which is a shame as those guys set me straight.

Hi! When you say Hoover but do you mean the Hoover mod - oil passage way mid? If so, I didn’t. Not really necessary on this motor plus a lot of bright people, EZ for one, reckon it’s not a great idea.

@@aircooledanything2415 Hoover bit is what Americans call that little peace of metal that bolts to your oil cooler to keep air from escaping around the dog house cooler.

@@SanDiego_VDubLife Hahahahhaha. I didn’t fit that bit yet as the engine stand prevents it. That’ll go on when it’s off the stand and about to go in the bus. You’re right though. It does look like a hoover attachment.

I would really go to an auto parts store and buy the proper crimped for your plug wires that actually folds in the tabs so they grip the rubber. The way you did it isn’t ideal and I wouldn’t consider reliable
