im halfway through this one and im going to be honest. I like this! Honestly, I feel like I'm right there with you which is cool content to me. Also seeing your struggles with finding the parts and having to find a way to get this pin through (with the hammer), gives some great insight on if I encounter this issue. Very much so, "I'm no the only one having trouble with this" type of content. Which I really appreciate.

Just to let you know for future reference that is actually called a roll pin, not a spring pin. Every tool company makes roll pin punches. Roll pins a designed to fit very tight and the roll pin punches are designed to keep the end of the roll pin from mushrooming out when you hit it with a hammer. I'm constantly have to remove and install them on our farm equipment.

due yourself a favor and buy a tap and die set you could have saved yourself a lot of headaches by cleaning up the threads before you started the projects.
