I live in an area when crochet is very popular,if i see anyone else wearing one of these I'm going to ask them to take a selfie with me so you can see us wearing them.

If someone in my neck of the woods is wearing one of these I'll have a guaranteed new friend for life because I'll know we're both Corinna fangirls! It's gorgeous! Hugs

Oh my god! The combination of the colors gave a beauty to the stich/tutorial. It is a piece of art. born 1962 and still locked in that era. Still have old magazins 70's 80's...some photo copies for crocheted sweater & skirt and lots of doilly patterns. god bless you wish you good health & happiness.

This came out beautifully. The colors and style really complement you. The whole time I've been watching all three parts of this tutorial as I crochet a shawl, I've been pondering making this cardigan and trying to decide in which colors. So cool!

Hi! I just wanted to say thank you for this pattern! It's my first vintage project and I am just finishing it. It looks so funky and fun. I've chosen muted blue, yellow and pink for my color scheme (perfect for easter 😅). I was scared at the beggining that there's too much black (not my favourite colour), but when the shells become bigger it all play out nicely Since I have similar measurements as you I was following the size you're showing, just used a little thinner yarn and smaller hook (4,5). It was turning out nicely, but the armholes ... Oh man, they were tiny and uncomfortable. Since the pattern is quite easy and repetitive after a few first rows I just moved the splitting to the next shell row and now it fits perfectly! I also decided to make sleeves in rounds just to avoid sewing and making halfshells. The only thing to remember is that you NEED TO make the first row of sc (black) on the wrong side. It makes the row of blsc to pop and cascade beautiffuly. I noticed it after making two rows on the right side. Noticable for the creator, but not enough to frog it One additional modification - I decided that I liked when the black part touches the previous black row, so I continued with additional stitch between shells and than 3sc together I won't be making the hood and instead of buttons I plan to crochet loops and belt That's all! Thanks once again! ❤

Notice: the single crochet between the shells are actually slip stiches! I have not done the coat jet. I am not sure how much different a single chrochet would llook like. I really love the coat on you Corinna! It is a very niche statement peace.

Such a great way to show how to make the stitches you have (too many) work out. With all the many stitches in this pattern, nobody would ever know! I feel that your sweater turned out beautifully. I’m hoping to do one, but I have some Christmas gifts to finish up first. Sooo busy!!

Sorry - the eclipse this morning eclipsed you for a bit! Your coat is perfection! It suits you to a "T"! About how many hours did you spend on this project? (I know...that question drives me wild too!) Thank you for another excellent tutorial that makes doing a complicated pattern look easy peasy! It's really a shame that no one watched parts 2 & 3!😘

@@roxanamcglinchey6613Me too! Was teasing Corrina because she didn't think many people would watch a multi-episode tutorial. Her number of views for each episode looked through the roof to me! AND - two other coat tutorials popped up for me today! Does that make our beautiful girl an influencer? 😊 I think so!

I wonder, instead of doing the 2TG SC on the BLO row, don't do the 2TG? the stitch count was right though... 🤯 it's too early & I haven't done a single stitch yet... how frustrating!
@TheKnottyStitch Жыл бұрын
I also LOVE that you do the standing SC for your starting DC, I learned that way so starting chains just drive me nuts! I don't use a turning chain either-I don't like the bump or the extra stitch when seaming. Personal preference & how we learned are unique. That's what makes us all different.
