"God forbid that women have a credit score" Okay but real talk, usury is a massive problem in today's world, and we would all be better off, men and women alike, if we didn't rely on a credit score which measures how great we are at being taken advantage of by usurious lending practices.

1 Timothy 2,11-15 - A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man, she must be quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. But womenwill be saved through childbearing-if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.

I disagree with your particular topical claims, but I agree with your general characterization of Trads online. Please have patience with me. I don't understand the connection you're making between wanting to disenfranchise a particular demographic and equating that with hatred of that demographic. The former is a strictly social and political consideration, resulting from the sex differences in our race, and has nothing whatsoever to do with any particular detestation of that group. I also don't think 18 year olds should retain the franchise, does that mean I hate 18 year olds? Furthermore, on the topic of education, I don't think women should retain the franchise, nor does my wife, but we're intensely interested in ensuring our three daughters are well educated. Very well educated. I just don't think that such an education necessarily involves pursuing secular credentialism. It may, depending on what God call's my daughters to do, but the two are becoming increasingly dissimilar as time goes on (a genuine education and their corresponding credentials that is), and I don't want to conflate the two. To anyone who would suggest that my daughters should not receive good educations I would ask: If my daughters were not well educated, how could they serve God and their potential husbands and children, not to mention their fellow Man, to the best of their ability? How could they learn to love God and His creation to the fullest extent? Lastly, how could they educate their children if they were not themselves educated? God gave a Rational Mind to all of Mankind, including Women, and He did so for a reason. But I don't think that's the same thing as insisting on the enfranchisement of women. I'm sorry for some of the aggressive responses you've received, they have not been very charitable and it appears you're just being honest about how you think/feel about the issue, so I commend your courage to continue to put your thoughts out there in light of such confrontation. To call you a Jezebel or backdoor a, "Shut up!" by quoting scripture seems rather nasty. God bless.

Most Catholics are loving and giving people. Just because you encounter one who is not the norm, don't lump us all in the same mindset. Everyone I know is Catholic and none of the men are like that. None of the women would stay with their men if they were like what you describe.

@@donnav6219 Thank you, Donna. I am lifelong Catholic, myself. I live near Disneyland, but have spent many a summer and all the time possible with the bulk of my family in RI. I love the place. For me, it's interesting how different parts of the country differ regarding their way of life, their faith & the Church itself. Back in the 70s, 80s & 90s the RI church we attended was packed at any Mass on Sunday. It was beautiful to see the love and joy at that church. After Mass dozens & dozens of people including most of my aunts, uncles & cousins, were there and several of us enjoyed more time together. During the last several years, the church has emptied, with maybe 20 parishioners at Mass. All the aunts & uncles are gone now, and not one of my cousins, or their children attend Mass. Some, attend on holidays, but most never. I found that this has changed the fabric of that local culture. Falling away, has had a huge effect on my family. More than a few are living in sin, and their parents do nothing about it. It hurts. I asked one of my closest cousins why her family no longer goes to church. I was stunned when she said, "Because we don't like the priest." I asked why and was told that he snapped at someone when taking a wedding picture. HUH? By the way, he was an excellent priest who said things as they are. He passed only a year or 2 ago. That town in RI had 3 Catholic Churches, the largest was closed down due to lack of attendance. The one I'm speaking about was the town's "Italian" Church and directly across a narrow street was the "French" Catholic Church. They are less than 100' from each other. I asked my cousin, why they didn't cross the street & go there. The answer was, "Oh, I dunno." I'm going too long ... but I started to realize that the more recent generations went to Mass, not for Christ, but for their weekly "social gathering." Things have changed in the world. Removing God, removes sanity, love & the special bonds we had with the people in our lives.
