Go buy a 1611 KJV. It has the books the Catholic church removed. It's called the apocrypha. It's the only true Holy Bible. The book all others are to be judged by. The others are all edited for copyright reasons. They are fakes. Only the 1611 is the book God promised to preserve in our language. It was translated from Aramaic and Greek. It was translated by over 40 Jews, Greeks, Latins and protestants who agreed upon every word. That in itself is an act of God.

When I finally stopped fighting the Spirit's nudging me toward the Holy Catholic Church, my very next time reading through the Bible, I discovered an even greater depth and richness to Scripture than I had ever seen before.

I am Catholic and have been since I was born 72 years ago. We listen to and meditate on the Word at each Mass. The first part of the Mass is the Liturgy of the Word and the second part is the Liturgy of the Eucharist. I am now doing Bible in a Year, having read it a hundred times throughout my life in Church. I am a Lector and I am so honored to be proclaiming God’s word that I sometimes get teary as I read the Word - whether the OT, the NT or the responsorial psalm. We have several Bible groups in our parish that are well attended. Any questions? I am happy to dialogue. I have 3 sisters who left the Catholic Faith and we get along so well……..we share the Word and our faith testimonies with love for one another. I love them and cherish them with all of my heart and feel blessed that they are following the path that God intends for them - as I am.

Just between you and me, people dont go to heaven til after the great judgment, which is after the thousand yr reign of Christ. The dead in Christ are with him somewhere, but its not heaven which comes down to man in the last book of Rev. Since you read the bible alot, you know this.

Does the Catholic doctrine not teach that only those that are affiliated to or directly with the Roman Catholic Church are saved?! It becomes reliant on a specific building, Mans logic and/or person to suggest you are saved, as opposed to the word of God. My point and question is... You say you feel "blessed" that they are following the path that God intends for them. Yet, by Catholic theology, they are not "saved". How does your views on Catholic doctrine, with scripture, affirm your view points and would you maintain the position of feeling "blessed" (if you affirm RCC tradition) towards your sisters ?

I was born into roman catholic faith, family, school and community in Ireland. Never knew the Truth, the Lord Jesus Christ until seeking Him after a dear friend met Jesus Christ on her deathbed in a hospice. I seeked Him and He came to me one night in Feb 2019. I recommend you to do not be deceived by feelings, we have to learn how to separate feelings and faith. I can feel the same by listening to some sort of romantic music, but this doesn't mean that i have to worship a mere song. I know you'll not care because nobody asked, but when i see someone talking about my faith, i have to at least recommend some sources: "Rome Sweet Rome" is a book wroten by a former protestant pastor (Scott Hahn) who became Catholic, not because of feelings, but because of pure understanding of the bible. Not here to harass your faith, but to just recommend you to study about the Catholic faith from Catholic sources instead of protestant ones, as when studying about protestantism, study from protestants sources instead of Catholic ones, doing that i believe you can get a mature point of view about both Christian denominations.

Read Philipians 2, Epaphrodite was a servant ofnthe Lord and helped Paul and served his people (while on deaths door step mind you) to bring the Philipians Paul's letter (Philipians).. But let's look at his name again Epaphrodite. That translates to Belonging to Aphrodite (pagan goddess). Jesus is the only way but God visited Mary - a human being, first before Jesus came out of the world. You Protestants must stop insisting to the Catholics that we worship Mary. We don't worship Mary. I grew up catholic and later in life, I Repented my sins as an adult, got Babtized and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. We must spend time with God everyday, live by God's Word and his Laws. Being Catholic does not guarantee you will be saved and will end up in Heaven in the end. The Bible tells us how we are to live and tells us how we will be saved. The path to the light is narrow and many will not go through it, bit the path to the dark is broad and many will pass through there. I am not trying to be rude in any way Brother. Hers is a false spirit which thinks to cover the light of truth. This beast and her king think to change times and laws of God. And goeth into perdition.

One reason Martin Luther wanted the epistle of James removed from the Bible is that Luther himself admitted that sola fide contradicts James-even claiming, “I do not regard it as the writing of an apostle.” In the pre-1530 version of his Preface to the Epistles of St. James, Luther held that James “is flatly against St. Paul and all the rest of Scripture in ascribing justification to works. . . . He mangles the scriptures and thereby opposes Paul and all Scripture.” Luther then issued the following challenge: “To him who can make these two agree I will give my doctor’s cap, and I am willing to be called a fool.” Thus, instead of adjusting his theology to fit Scripture, Luther’s solution was to relegate the book of James to the canonical cheap seats, declaring flatly in his Preface: “I will not have him in my Bible to be numbered among the true chief books.” Indeed, Luther’s advice was that they “should throw the epistle of James out of this school, for it doesn’t amount to much.” And of course, Luther famously declared James to be an “epistle of straw.”

Luther didn't rightly divide the word. James' epistle is in no way a contradiction, nor does it teach works salvation, which is made evident considering he never once mentions believing in the Gospel of Christ Jesus to be saved. His epistle is for edification of the brethren by encouraging believers to do something with their faith so that it can profit others. It's not a salvific epistle. Romans, on the other hand, or John's Gospel account, are for the purpose of evangelism.

Just a FEW notes of many evidences... The "Queen of Heaven" is one of the oldest false gods / idols that has gone by many names... One of which is Isis. The 1st place where the Word is clear about the wickedness of this "being" is in (Jeremiah 7 : 18). Yet the Vatican calls Mary the Queen of Heaven. Despite Mary being a very virtuous woman who was an undefiled virgin, she clearly wasn't without sin. It's common sense that this would preclude the need for Christ, Himself. Much of this stems from appeasing the early worshippers of Osiris, Isis, and Horus (their "baby" false Jesus) and their variants within different cultures. When studying various false religions and cults, one quickly realizes that the Vatican has always been setup as a system to incorporate various pagan practices, symbolism, and imagery into their power structure, in an attempt to bring more peoples under their control. Just look into the origins of mitre hats, burning of incense, and the Commandment breaking sin of rampant graven imagery, which the Vatican practices. (2 Corinthians 6 : 14-16) teaches us that God wants no parts of practices derived from and for demons. There's not enough space here to teach or even address all the blasphemies that the institution has committed. Everyone must seek this knowledge on their own. Furthermore, the minisry has titles given in Scriptures. No title is God approved other than what the Word has provided. These include apostles (which are no more), prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (Ephesians 4 : 11). With the two additional administrations being bishops and deacons (1 Timothy 3 : 1-13). The words "minister" and "preacher" are, also, Scriptural. I don't even call pastors "reverend" due to that title being used once in the Word, and in reference to God (Psalm 111 : 9). So there is no justification for ANY man claiming the title Potentate or any variant thereof, when the Word, literally, says that Jesus Christ is the "blessed and ONLY Potentate" (1 Timothy 6 : 15). Period. How dare anyone blaspheme the name of the Most High! The only bridge between man and God is Jesus Christ, not the so-called Pontiff (bridge-builder). I'm done for now. But there is so much more. May we all pray that the Holy Ghost lead us into all Truth and righteousness... Which is only found in the Lord Jesus revealed in His Scriptures.

Seeing Jesus dying on the cross is a very clear sign of Jesus' love for us. He loved us so much he was willing to DIE for us. It makes me think to myself "Do I love God and my fellow man enough to die for them?" Paul wrote, "For Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles." (1 Cor 1: 22-23). Why don't other churches preach the way that Paul did? For Christians a crucifix should not be considered merely as a statue of Jesus hanging on a cross, but as a reminder of the high cost of our salvation as well as His words to us: "If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." We would all be better served if you would simply give us some clear evidence of where he distorts clear Catholic doctrine on the one hand, or distorts proper Bible exegesis on the other hand…. Has it occurred to no one that the Catholic Church, for 1500 years, carried a mis-conceived idea of what Christ intended, and then Martin Luther and others decided that they could look through that 1500 year old Catholic lens of Christianity and know Christ’s true teachings? Isn’t that a lot like looking back through history and deciding that, yes, southern succession was the true path for the US? I am no Catholic purist. I know the Church has had faults down through history and also that it continues to examine itself. As far as tradition, I feel it is very much a part of understanding the faith. “It is easier for a camel to go through a needles eye” sounds like,’no way a rich man can get to heaven’, right? Until you realize the ancient tradition of camels coming into a city via camel gates - the keyhole-shaped gate that would allow a camel, fully loaded, to enter the city - through that “needles eye”. No where in scripture does it explain ‘eye of the needle’. It is simply traditional knowledge that is lost on contemporary westerners unfamiliar with camels, caravans and the way they traditionally entered a city - a very tight, but not impossible, passage. Tradition enriches my faith and the Church has eased off a bit of late. Why? I used to eat fish on Fridays but Vatican II eased that requirement. Sacrifice is good but requiring that sort of sacrifice may not add to the faith as was once accepted. Now, l still don’t eat meat on Fridays but it is my choice and it is not a sacrifice but more of a way to keep God and Jesus’ sacrifice in my thoughts at least three times that day. It’s a great ‘tradition’ for me that strengthens my faith. Pope Francis’ attempts to be more inclusive has been met with huge resistance from the more traditional faithful, some Catholics even calling him the anti-Christ. I am reminded of the way the conservative, scripture-quoting Jews of Jesus’ day espoused their own biblical interpretation of what the Messiah would be…as they hung Jesus on the cross. All of these nasty, we’re right-you’re wrong proselytizers remind me of the Pharisees and Sadducee’s, not of the love Jesus had for mankind (and that means women, too, even though scripture doesn’t differentiate because we all know, indirectly that He loved his mother and Mary Magdelin, shown in His actions but not actually written as, “Jesus loved women”. Jesus summed up what fulfills the Law. Love God above all and love your neighbor. Of course the dude had to get a definition of WHO that neighbor was, so Jesus obliged with specifics, since apparently the dude wanted to limit his liability for love expended. If what you say and do doesn’t show love, you do not uphold the Law. And, Jesus didn’t come to save the supposed righteous but the very ones the righteous condemned.

I happened on this preaching today by the power of the Holy Spirit of God. I am born again and follow the Lord Jesus Christ every hour, every minute of my life but I was raised a Roman Catholic and attended a convent boarding school during my most formative years. I was fortunate that I did learn about Jesus there, but it's a different thing to know him as a friend and saviour. Today, I am an old lady with a story to tell and I am writing it. Writing it came about as an instinctive need, therapy, I suppose. My life has become so positive now and despite the ailments of old age, I am aware that I bubble over whenever I talk about Jesus and whenever I share Christian fellowship and I notice that I talk about Jesus whenever I get the chance. I have dear Roman catholic friends of course and I love the way you open your talk by explaining that we love our Catholic friends. I have been searching for so long for how to convince a very dear friend of the truth. When I listened and watched the clear graphics of this talk, it made me feel so encouraged to try again, to keep going with a gentle approach to someone who is adamant that I have 'gone wrong.' Does your Catholic friend actually love Jesus and reverence God? Many Catholics have an admirable walk w/ God. It's a different vehicle, and I do believe there is false doctrine. I've given up on condemning Catholics. There are weaknesses in protestant faith too. The bible above all exhorts us to love one another and to find a unity in the faith as followers of Christ.

Yes it's really sad. So many people hate the Catholic Church for what they think it is, because the only way they've learned about it is from hateful Protestant pastors like Mike Gendron. I truly recommend you to when studying the bible, not just check explanations from protestants sources but also from Catholic sources. I’m just having an immensely hard time w infant baptism but am open to it. If I were to attend orthodox or a Catholic Church I would probably have my kid baptized twice to be safe lol once as an infant and again when they believe. Do you believe if an infant dies before baptism that is hell bound? One thing I’m trying to figure out as of late. As for scripture the fact that we are only told “men and women who believed “ were baptized out of the whole city of Samaria by the apostles wich would debunk the “household argument” which seems to be the only scriptural argument the church gives the only otherwise is church history and tradition. Wich I have trouble taking in when it seems to contradict the apostles. I feel like it could have been made up within the 1st 100 years due to the lack of teaching by the apostles when I feel they told us enough they wanted us to conclude w context and logic w the spirit guiding us but the church went the wrong way .If that makes sense. Not trying to be offensive either just where I’m at and curious to your thoughts. You seem very level headed and honest. I def disagree w papal infallibility though. I don’t think I’ll ever end up in the Catholic Church due to the many blatant trafficking etc. I feel whoever is pulling strings at the highest levels has a dark agenda. ESP w the Vatican being made to look like a viper w the inside pulpit being made to look like a vipers mouth (blows my kind no catholic sees this ) and the occult fallen angel pagan relics littered throughout it and esp the crusades which was completely messed up

How can you claim the ‘apostate’ church could possibly be the same one that kept the sacramental traditions of the apostles, assembled councils and called upon the Holy Spirit in the same way outlined in Acts, and that COMPILED AND PRESERVED the very scriptures and days of worship you so revere? Also the tendency for fear to take prominence over doing things out of love for God.

That said, we have to look closely to his deeds, particularly about establishing a Church. Why did He instituted such a thing? What was the necessity for that and the purpose? So that we don't ever loose sight of his true teachings. And what did His Church taught? Well, all we have to do is analyse all the primitive documents from the first centuries and come to the conclusion what Church today teaches the same things as the early church (and there's only one that corresponds: the Catholic Church). In conclusion: to believe in Christ is to believe and hold fast to His Church. To believe in Christ and reject His established Church is a dichotomy/contradiction. ​@jennyb5507 I talk about things like that for 20 years on youtube. It's surprising how few people care. It seems like people are very stubborn to be ecumenical. The Roman Church is not even real catholicism. They read "church fathers" and see references to the Holy Catholic Church, but the Roman church is not that church. Look at what Polycarp taught. That can be found in the bible. Quartodecimanism is found in the bible. What is not found is these Catholic traditions like "Easter Sunday" or that the "Lord's day was switched toto sunday". I have open panels letting anyone come on and challenge my views. Much of Roman Catholicism is not found in the bible.

Romans 10:17 NASBS So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. The apostles didn't need the gospels in book form, they WITNESSED the gospel before their eyes and wrote about it. Their faith grew because they heard Jesus and what He spoke. They then wrote about it, and their faith would have grown more the more they read it and meditated on it. That's how we grow our faith today, by reading the word of God.

I was a Roman Catholic until I was 12, then God revealed the idolatry to me from His word. As a teenager my mother got into a near deadly car crash, and I wasn't even 13 yet (three weeks away) and I started dropping LSD to escape reality. I was stuck in a cycle of drug use until I was 53, so I was 40 years in the wilderness before Jesus Christ led me out of sin, and into His glorious Salvation. Praise God I am born from above and going to be dining at the Kings table for the rest of eternity. This video is a keeper, so I can use it to evangelize my Roman Catholic friends and family. So now I have a question about Hell. How is it that the RCC brought about the teaching of eternal conscious torment in Hell, yet in Revelation 20:14 it says: And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. "This is the second death.”? And further, Jesus said that it would be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in That Day, than for Capernaum, yet the RCC, and now almost all churches teach the lie of Satan in the garden, where he says, "You shall not surely die" Genesis 3:4? How about where Jesus said, "Don't fear man who can only kill the body, but fear God, who can DESTROY both soul and body in Hell"? How can it be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah, and Tyre and Sidon, if eternal conscious torment is the same fate of all unregenerate sinners? I believe Jesus Christ over the current contemporary Christian teachings on Hell. If death and Hell are cast into the Lake of Fire, they will be burned up, and the time in Hell from the time of death, until the Great White Throne judgment day, at the end of the millennium age. One thousand years plus in Hell seems punishment enough for the sinners.

I too am a practicing Catholic, daily prayer 🙏 daily Rosary, and Divine Mercy, at 3pm 🕒 adoration, communion with the True presence body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus, present in all the tabernacles of the world, and monthly confession. I absolutely do not appreciate the naive comments, nor the down right misinformation/disinformation, regarding our Beautiful Faith. He hasn’t said anything that I haven’t heard before.. Myths, spread by the father of lies, himself.. Keep this in mind. The Holy Faith, has been around for 2000 years. I am born again now 13 months, ALL praise and glory to God. Jesus Christ never gave up on me. He is so faithful! I was baptized through confirmation as a RC, it never felt right though I had a strong love of Jesus. I remember asking questions about my children's Bible that nobody could answer and again I asked them to the Deacon when I was in CCD and he had no answer, even though he converted from Judaism. The Cardinal was a scary and stern man, he along with a wolf in sheep's clothing priest, who was only pretending to care for the parishioners until he rec'd his promotion to head priest of the church and the pope saying he was God's spokesman on earth (yet we have Jesus as our intercessor and NO MAN is to be idolized/worshipped & I saw the pope in my spirit trying to be god of earth. It was responsible for my leaving completely and then to allow satan to lay the seed for me to believe Islam was the truth. I am back now by the grace and love of Jesus Christ. He broke the spell of Islam. Jesus is LORD, Savior, and Son of God, who said Himself not to worship Mary. I am just fully getting into the KJV and with the Holy Spirit as my teacher and guide, the KJV is joyous and never boring. In church and CCD, we never used a Bible. Why don't they use the scripture more? It hold the full Truth! They must be afraid that we will see their hypocrisy in the RCC & Vatican. Praise the Lord, seek Him and His truth and you will find it. Yet, the protestant church has also been guilty of heinous crimes against humanity. In my country we had Apartheid supported and promoted by one of the protestant denominations. I am sure same can be said of other protestant denominations in other parts of the world. The church isn’t perfect, we are made up of fallen humanity. I’m a protestant myself, but I am calling for a fair dialogue between Catholics and protestants for a better understanding of one another. I don’t think this talk or forum was helpful.

The exact opposite is true. The earliest Christian communities broke bread in the sacrament on an altar, or table if you wish to be more progressive.

None were made by Jesus Christ and had Him as the prophesied foundation rock. Catholics cannot even interpret Matt 16:18 according to the apostles inspired interpretation of those prophecies found in Psalm 118:22, Isaiah 8:14-15, & Isaiah 28:16 which say Christ is the foundation, not Peter as the rock on which the church is built on first. Paul and Peter interpreted these prophecies in Acts 4:11-12, Romans 9:33, 1 Peter 2:4-8, 1 Corinthians 3:11 & Ephesians 2:20. I want to thank you so much for sharing this information about Catholics. I was raised a Catholic and even went to Catholic school for two years of my life and let me tell you, I didn't like that at all. The reason being is because before I went to the Catholic school as a very young girl my mom had remarried a Protestant and I had started going to their church, then I was given a Bible, which I never had before. So, I read the Bible through and through and came up with the fact that following the Catholic religion was wrong. However, my mom divorced this guy and after some time went by, she decided it to send my brother and I to Catholic school, I don't know why, I really didn't want to go but what are you going to do when your young and under the rule of your mother. I went there two years, didn't like what I was taught or what I heard and saw. They put Mary above Jesus and pray to all the saints, and I knew from reading the Bible that this was wrong. So, when my brother quit school, I told her I didn't want to go back, so praise the Lord, she took me out and put me back in the school I totally loved. Later in my life, I read a compelling book that changed my life forever and I came into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, I am so very grateful that the Lord led me away from the Catholic church. I love the Lord with all of my heart, but it is very hard for me to witness to Catholics, so seeing this video, it will help me to witness to them should I come in contact with them. I haven't been in a Catholic church for over 40 years, and I am okay with that, just wish that some of my family members who still remain Catholics would come out of this destructive religion. It is works based just as the Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and a few other cults out there deceiving people. My heart goes out to all those who are in these cults and my prayer is that they will open their eyes to our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. The original argument I was trying to make is that it’s hypocritical for someone to call themselves “former catholics” and bash the Catholic Church and faith without ever having been a real practicing catholic. Just because you attend mass on Sundays because your family forces you to, just because you attend a catholic run school, doesn’t mean you are catholic. Now, if for years someone has been a practicing catholic, taking part in the sacraments, knows the catechism, knows the bible, and then decides to leave the church for another denomination, I completely respect that, and they do have the merit to call themselves “former catholics” and share genuine criticisms of the faith, because they actually understood the faith

This is the key, my friend; you capitalized it your self: CHOOSE. Let me explain. Being born again really isn’t a matter of your choosing. Jesus said of that of His disciples, “you did not choose me, but I chose you……”. Jesus also reveals by inspiration of the Holy Spirit in John 1 that being a child of the Father is not a matter of human decision. Therefore, no one can determine their own salvation through perceived method or procedures, but rather, by believing what God has revealed in His Holy Scripture what is the nature and behavior of the saved person. God knows who are His.

I have been a Christian all my life since I was 13. But even in the churches I attended they preached on works. In my 50's I was finally set free from a works religion. Thank you for all the information on Catholicism. I didn't have any idea how to talk to Catholics.

If you're trying to talk to Catholics, you might want to learn what they believe through actual Catholic sources instead of Protestant ones who often misrepresent it. That way you guys can have much more charitable debate. If you don't truly understand the other side you'll just be talking past people. Check out Catholic Answers, read the Catechism for yourself, or read some of the Early Church Fathers if you want to learn what Catholics actually believe. That way you won't just be calling them "Mary worshippers" and asserting their church is "demonic" or whatever. You'll actually make progress when you and whoever you're talking to are not straw manning each other. God bless 🙏

It was an all male school. It is a good technical school. I learned later that our principal, who happened to be a Spaniard, got married to a female elementary teacher at that school. It is a good technical school-all male school. I was awarded a medal in religion at one time. Later I learned that a priest got married and our principal got married. He was removed from the priesthood. I am nit a Catholic. Praise be to the Triune God!!!!!!!

You must study how did those who were more closer to Jesus before the resurrection did worship him, in order to do not do the opposite as the scriptures says: 2 Peter 1:20 "knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation." I recommend you to read "Rome Sweet Home" by Scott Hanh, whose was a protestant pastor that converted to Catholicism. The question I always ask is what drives a person like this. And let us take John 14:12 very seriously, Pretending he’s not talking to us, because false leaders have tried to strip true Christians of their knowledge that Jesus expects One who follows him to do everything he did except the crucifixion, that’s finished and he is the only seen this one but everything else, and people need to read very carefully all the things that he did and realize that Jesus said the works that I do, and even greater things. He repeatedly says anything you ask, he’s probably really frustrated that people are not thinking big enough for God. Attending church is not what he had in mind. Yes we should not forsake gathering together, and then we need to go out and do far more than healing the sick, raising the dead, and casting out demons. That’s just the starting point. And most Christians don’t even do that. The spirit is our teacher, and faith is a muscle that needs to be exercised. That’s what the early Christians were doing, and that’s why they were under so much persecution, because Rome couldn’t have them be more powerful than Rome. Healed, people were getting new body parts, people were being impacted in positive ways, people were glorifying God. That doesn’t mean in a church, this was out in the street, people being converted not that miracles need to be the only way, but miracles where somethings that even Jesus used to get things through peoples heads. So the false churches have tried to get people to not do anything like that or claim any rights or authority and doing that even though Jesus said “I’m going back to God, take the ball and run, run, run with it”. Most Christians dont seem to know that. They act like they’re not even supposed to hold the ball, let alone run with it. The world would look a lot different if Christians were doing what Jesus told them to do. On a good day, maybe one in a few million might be even trying to do it.

@@misskim2058 I doubt Jesus expects us to do everything that he did. Remember, he was without sin. We have already failed in that area by default. Nevertheless, he does expect us to pursue righteousness and forsake our sinful behaviour. Ours is not a works based salvation as it is a gift from God. However, we are to bare fruits of righteousness after we are saved allowing the Holy Spirit to work through us. Let us not boast of ourselves but boast In the Lord whom the glory belongs.
